White, best looking SS Rolex IMO, had both.

I have both and would not give up either. White more showy and black is the business

White (panda) was always my first choice, i was lucky enough to be offered the black one first. Which i turned the black on down at the time, certainly paid off as i have white one in my collection.

My grail watch!

Shouldn't the illusion be the other way round? I've heard folks mention that black looks bigger because the bezel looks like a continuation of the dial thus making the entire dial seem larger.

I pick black because it's not flashy.
I bought the white because my wife likes it.

I like and bought the Ceramic black Dial, IMHO, White is not Panda (complete black Sub Dials) more like a Petey (little Rascals Dog)...

White. I’m simply not a fan of the black dial.

Black for me, something about the black on Black....just simply stunning. And looks great dressed up or down.

I've owned both and end up picking white. Simple reason is because I have, what I feel is shaping up to be a real nice collection of watches. I think the black is the more versatile watch. Both are obviously sporty, but the black can dress up a little more than the white IMO.

Since I have a collection and good rotation of watches, I don't really need the versatility, and simply put I just find the white to be more fun.

White because it looks sportier/sleeker than the black. I got a small wrist as well and the black wears larger on my wrist so I don't like that either. The black 116520 is money though.

I started out liking the black dial a lot more, but when I saw both in the flesh I love the white a lot more. Gives the watch a lot more contrast and pop.

Definitely the white dial, I was lucky enough to buy one and then offered a trade for the black version. I had them side by side it was an easy decision to stick with the white dial.

Ordered white and was offered a black one a few times while waiting. Stuck it out and waited until I got the white.

Ceramic Daytona 116500 black vs white - which would you choose and why?

I am on the waiting list for the white (second in line) but my AD has gotten 4 black dialed ones in the last 25 months. and non of the white. Before that she got 2 white dialed on a row so there is no method to the madness.
She offered me the last black dial one and I accepted as long as it didn’t take me off the list for the white. She assured me that it will not. I now own the black dialed Daytona and still waiting on the white. The black is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion but as others said I love the contrast of the white one. It is louder while the black is more elegant.

I had the choice of the two and went with the intention of buying the white but after trying both on, I chose the black without hesitation.

Ordered a white dial and passed on a black dial. Got a second chance on a black dial and I’m glad I got it. It’s very slick and sporty. Looks amazing. I do agree that the black dial looks better than the white with oysterflex.

Black. White is too feminine looking. It reminds me the day when apple released their first iPhone. And then I hated it after several months.

Then again. I hate color watch or anything that attracts attention. That’s just me.

I was going to send the same picture from our house. My wife loves her black and I just got the white. I wouldn’t trade with her and she wouldn’t trade with me.

Black dial. Looks more dressy. You can’t go wrong with either.

The white dial and black ceramic bezel is a great look. I had never considered adding a Daytona to my collection until I saw this watch. Too bad it is either a several year wait or $20k purchase.
