WOW! Tell us more about your Ruf! I had a couple of 911s in the past and I have spent some time at my local Ruf store in Addison. How do you like the 996 platform? I was thinking on recreating a 964 Yellowbird as a weekender, had a FVD modded 996 bfore but not very happy with. Sorry dont mean to hijack thread.

It's a 590 Nardo R-GT2, fully built top to bottom, triple adjustable motons and all solid rsr/gmg components, regeared box with taller 6th and shorter ratios in the lower gears (with the power it's perfect leaving it in 3rd on the track most of the time) rarely having to go to second, the torque/hybrid turbos built motor and lwfw and clutch provide no lag or relatively none so to speak and due to that as well and their exhaust such an exotic tone that doesn't sound like any other Turbo out there, and the power/torque is always on tap and abundant... Most special car I have ever had, only few built like this in the country, an identical car is up for sale on www.sloancars.com actually! Was toying with getting rid of it recently for a Scuderia, want to try an italian but i'm just such a Porsche/BMW M and german car fanatic and lover... I have realized time and time again, I just can't sell this gem! I'll have to add whatever after BTW I had a FVD stg 3 996TT, and a 993TT prior... That FVD car was STRONG 996 platform is great to be honest... It's as raw and frill filled as any true gearhead needs and wants (chassis is rock solid, no creaking or even annoying rattles from the inside surprisingly )... No doubt technology is much more prominent for the 997 and 991's, especially with ergonomics but this isn't what this car is about as you know.. Yellowbird rebuild would be sick, how about get their CTR2 they have for sale ;) Sorry to Hijack as well fellas hope you don't mind one more pic of my beast doing what's it's built to do, and well, my favorite past time!!! |

Hey fellow Porsche bud It's actually from your neck of the woods, bought it from RUF Auto Center about 6 years ago... (gave up my spec to me cobalt blue 07 GT3 for it) as I saw how special it was and it just stole my heart... THAT IS SICK! I am so glad to see that you actually use the car the way it was supposed to be used. Im in trouble now, Ill be visiting them tomorrow. Im with you (about trying a different brand), currently I want a SLS (but I need to wait $). Tried Ferrari once, always an event and pleasure to drive but I was always nervous something would go wrong and cost me an arm and a leg to fix. Had a chance to drive -for a couple of months- my grandfather's Lamborghini 5000s and it was hot, twisted seating position and claustrophobic. Currently I am an AMG believer but Porsche is always calling my name.

Thanks Ken,
So, I can drive or wave...right. When you come to Oz you can use the Jag and have a ride on the Ducati - but I won't be sitting on the back.

Something a little different. At least nothing can break, it has no air, no power seats (recaro buckets), no power windows or mirrors or airbags or even hatch release (just a piece of string to release the rear glass). It does have 2012 Spec Sat Nav, DVD, bluetooth and TV although originally it did not come with a radio either. Porsche circa 1994 so bulletproof and fast. The radio in the photo was an aftermarket from previous owner, it now has a multi function unit. And yes the wheel is on the other side, I know these never made it to the USA in clubsport spec.
