Which Rolex or Tudor is the most legible?

I think the Pelagos would be the winner here. Also after 4 black faced Pelagoses I just picked up the blue and I think this one is even easier to read for some reason. The contrast of the blue and white.

For Rolex, I would say Submariner 126610 41mm. Of any brand, I would say IWC Big Pilot.

Time is very easy to read and so is the date with the cyclops. Your pelagos seems busy and the date is hard to read.

Dont know about most legible but the worst watch for legible has to be my ss daytona.
My eyesight is failing but in low light i can see the time at all…..think my new sub is probably my easiest to read at a glance

From experience, my EXPII Polar was the most legible. At night, my TAG Heuer Aquaracer beats any Rolex I have ever owned.

Of all the models i've tried on, for me it is the Pelagos with the black dial.

Disclaimer, i've never tried on an EXP1 or a Polar EXP2.

I've dived with three different versions of Sea-Dwellers, various Seikos, an Omega SMP, and the LHD, and hands down the best legibility for diving has been the LHD.

I'd echo comments that the Exp2 white dial is arguably one of the most legible dials as well; I'd place that ahead of any iteration of Sub, though there are a lot of watches where the legibility is more than satisfactory for a "quick glance".

There are many and almost all Rolex and tudor are very similar I mean they pull from the same design cues. The least legible is likely the Daytona, very shiny, and subdials lacking hashmarks causing one to speculate on the time. The tudor chronos are all more legible than the Daytona.

In general, 6 digits are more legible than the comparable 5 digits, larger indices, and thicker hands. Explorer II 6 digit in polar has larger dial, even larger hands, not sure if the indices are larger too. Sea Dwellers and Deep Sea also seem to have larger hands and indices vs the 40mm watches. Have not been able to compare against the 41mm sub.

Tudor Black Bay 41 has more lume and is more legible at night than any Rolex I have. Seiko dive watches tend to have enough lume to use as a flashlight when recently charged by a strong light source, but I perceive that the lume brightness dies down faster than Rolex/Tudor.

Explorer 2 polar is the easiest, however, the most difficult to read is the Sky Dweller blue dial in my opinion.

To come back to the subject, all reference with a maxi dial like any Sub 126xxx and the new Tudor FDX that I tried and what a slap! The glass seems invisible, the dial depth reduced and the indexes sublime. A piece with very solid arguments !!

Surprised no one mentioned this. The doomed crystal ensures that no matter how low the light is, the hands catch it and reflect it back.
I find it easier to read than my Polar or even black EXPLORER.
