Cheapbrass, seeing that you are from Chicago, you may realize that "we don't need no stinkin salary".
If everyone on TRF sells their Rolex and donates the proceeds to a fund, we can then purchase G-Shock watches so nobody in the U.S.has to go without a timepiece.

This. It's not how much you make, it's how much you can afford, AFTER you've met all of your obligations.

So to make me feel less guilty, I have a general question to the TRF members:

1) Approx. how much salary did you make when u bought ur most recent Rolex.
2) When did you purchase ur last Rolex.
2) What model Rolex and how much did it cost?
Why feel guilty? You worked for your money, you earned it and you are free to spend it as you wish.

At least it's not a bad as the "Who's a millionaire on TRF?" thread.

That one went a little awry but pulled in a couple of showy sorts on the way down.

My first reaction was ... what the hell is "Barked" and why would it increase value ??

But looking at your signature pic I think I have worked it out.... or I am on a totally wrong track

It's the etching in the metal into a faux "tree bark" finish. Rolex offered it and some other finishes for varying lengths of time, but it was not very popular and resale sucked.

It's not for most folks, but I fell in love with the finish as soon as I saw it.
