I think they have made a mistake here, the FC has way more character and at the price no way is it worth it. Like many said for 5k retail difference I would save and go FC or jump up to the RG.

As mentioned above, at that price range I'd be looking at one of their rose gold pieces or Schumi Ti instead. That being said, you should be able to get a discount on that piece if you buy from an AD and not the AP boutique in Manhattan. A lot of these boutiques tend to cater to wealthy tourists and the "I Just Got My Bonus" population that is willing to pay closer to the full MSRP + taxes. In my experience, I've always gotten significantly better deals on the Rolexes, Pateks, JLCs, etc. that I have purchased from an AD (usually outside of NY) vs the best quotes I get from their respective boutiques here in the city.

Either way, best of luck with whatever you pick up!

These rape prices are becoming crazy indeed... At least for my purchase today and next in coming piece I can justify it with precious metal now... Over 30/40k purchases in past months for carbon and titanium had me question it all lol

Ceramic piece did nothing for me in person, but besides my opinion, 40k for it is insanity

I don't mind a ceramic bezel for an Offshore but I really don't like the entire watch in ceramic.
