Thanks Dan, that was a lucky shot. I like that Tropic Jim, might try that. Got a blue kevlar I'm going to try next.

Amazing watches. Heres mine with a SS bezel installed by Rolex Melbourne in 1985 and with a new resin bezel indentical to the one supplied with the watch when originally purchased in 1983.

Not a Sub but still a Tudor. The Canadian crowd might recognize the caseback inscription:

D.F. Schneider
25 Years Service
J.M. Schneider Ltd.
1951

Schneider is a division of Maple Leaf Foods now, but the inscription makes it easy to date the watch.

Great to have such a diverse and large number of Tudor references on TRF! Great contributions, everybody.

My first post and it's about Tudors!

I've always been a sub guy and my first one ver was this blue dialed 9411.

Very quickly, about a month later, I picked up a 7928 to go along with it.

By that point the bug had bitten and I picked up this beauty (keep in mind, this was only 3 months after getting my blue dial).

Here they are all together.

Then I realized, "I don't need two 9411's and I sold the black dial and got a 9401 from the original owner.

About 6 months after owning the 7928 I decided to sell it as I was scared about getting the 390 movement fixed if it broke as I don't like safe queens. Three days later I lucked out and purchased a 7016 with original rivet bracelet from the original owner.

Well, 2 years ago, we had a rough go financially and I had to sell all the subs. Just 7 days ago I purchased this beauty as a reminder of my past.

and promptly sold it 4 days later when I was able to get this great condition 5513 from 1982. :D

Hi Mark! Sounds like an interesting and enjoyable goal. I'm not as much of an expert as I should be. There's a list of Rolex/ Tudor references and dates. I'll try to find the list and post it here. Bagel and other Tudor experts will have this info too.

Thanks Dan.

I do. It's an Omega 20mm Mesh bracelet. Really complimented the watch well. I'm gonna have to get another one. They are a bit pricy but not like a real Rolex Bracelet. Typically can be found for around $300. Extremely comfortable and not a hair puller like a normal mesh is. Also thicker then most mesh bracelets. Really the best on the market.

What fantastic Tudors out there folks, great pics too

Seeing as this is a Tudor thread I thought I'd also post photo's of some Tudors that I used to own but no longer have.
Might come in handy for somebody's reference maybe? (if not then I can just sit here & feel sorry for myself for letting these ones go )

Tudor Oysterquartz (liked this one but hard to tell the time on it)

Date-Day (this was my old mans watch at one time and I pawned it later on when I was young and daft )

76100 Sub

another 76100 sub

79160 Chrono

79090 Sub

'Jumbo' Prince Oysterdate

Oh how I look back and see some I wish I'd kept - thats life I guess.. - Neil.

John,
Thanks, great pics. Suprised the mesh looks as good as it does on an Oyster case. Just bought my first mesh [UTS] for a MKII SF and LOVE IT!

John, that mesh bracelet looks awesome on the Sub. Did you keep the Omega clasp on it?
