Thanks, JJ. I think I've decided that I will buy the SD. If, down the road, I feel that I really should have bought the Sub I'll take the loss and flip the SD for a Sub. The SD smiles back at me enough to earn a place on my wrist. Maybe the iconic status of the Sub and the fact that I've wanted one forever will cause it to replace the SD, but I won't really know that until I've spent the money and have the SD on my wrist.

On a side note, I just got back from a diving trip in Cozumel. I saw a lot of Subs and Sub wannabe's. Usually that would push me toward the SD so I could be a little different, but I have to admit that a gentleman wearing a classic Sub looks very...well...classy.

That's exactly what has happened to me. The logical side and emotional side of my brain are in constant battle over the SD and Sub. It's really become a pain, but hey, if this is the worst of my problems I'm doing pretty well.

the SD is a good choice - thinking of going for one in a year or poss sooner... it'sa very sturdy watch and great as an everyday (even stronger than the sub)

Dunno how true that one is, but it's gospel that the SD is what every Seamaster wants to be when it grows up.
