I also thought my Daytona was too small the first few times I wore it. After wearing a few times I love it. Perfect size, comfortable and it really stands out with black bezel and white face. Congrats

Couple of observations, haven't never worn it myself, only seen it in pictures and on someone else's wrist (but in black).

- It wears small, compared to my SubC, and even more compared to my SD43. The "smallness" is relative. I can only imagine comparing it with the DSSD I prefer chunky watches, but this is a change for me.
- The black bezel makes the watch contrast so much, love the rounded casing.
- Feels less of a tool watch than the SubC, and that is a good thing to change it up, as I tend to get bored with things really quick.
- Love the small details and the dials.

Overall, pretty pleased with the trades I made for it.
First off, congrats man,

Second, for a while, I actually wasn't a fan of the Daytona for the exact reason of it wearing so much smaller on the wrist than my other watches.

I don't wear anything under 40mm and the majority of pieces I wear regularly are precious metal so they have some weight to them. The daytona was a serious change and took some getting used too. I started with a black dial 116500. I think the watch is absolutely gorgeous but the size and weight bothered me.

I slowly started rotating it in on days where I was just doing basic tasks and it got to be quite relaxing on the wrist. The solid gold pieces and 44mm+ that I love actually become inconvenient to wear on some occasions.

I actually had a wedding to go to once and realized the Daytona was the only appropriate piece I owned and that's where it changed for me. Now I absolutely love it. Hope you enjoy yours.

Thanks guys, this forum was an inspiration to get one. After wearing it for a full day, it’s pretty awesome. It wears well on the wrist, feels slim and when you look at it, makes you go “wow!” . The chrono function is flawless as well.

It's beautiful. If anything it looks big on you, not small, but tastes are relative.

Congrats!

Congrats. This exact watch is my daily wear and you will grow to love the proportions and size. There is something about the Daytona case proportions which are simply perfection. I’d love to get my hands on a vintage 37mm, hand-wound Daytona someday. Hard to believe, but I’ve read they wear even better. Enjoy this one in good health, and welcome to the club :)
