dude makes a long drive in his rolls royce to buy a second hand ceramic daytona, fleecing a poor seller probably in dire need of money caused by the virus. Absolutely, BS'ing everyone by saying it's his dream watch bla bla bla just to sell it in his very next video when he unboxes the watch at home.

I'm so glad i didn't watch the whole video. This guy is so full of himself. I would never drive more than an hour for a watch. There's a difference between enjoying your watches and being completely consumed by it.

You can piece together the whole serial.

LOL! A true Potatohead.. 632*42V8 is the serial number. Makes no sense to blur the first half in one photo and then blur the second half in the second photo.

I was with you guys, watched it and thought it was an interesting background story. Then the guy has it flipping on eBay for $2,750 more than he bought it for. What a true loser!

I watched a few minutes before I lost interest. Bob is a BS'er for sure but he is going to pocket some cash. He didn't twist the seller's arm to sell him the watch and he didn't get it from an AD so good on him for turning a few bucks on it. Let's not forget the seller made $5K.

BS'er for sure. I don't think we have a problem with someone trying to pocket a little extra after getting a deal. It's his BS story about it being his dream watch and how he can't believe he finally owns one.

If you're going to sell it... sell it. In the meantime, don't try and pull people into a tangled web of lies!

Check out the other things he has for sale. Autographed Satanic Church posters.

Wish this thread would get deleted. Why give this joker YT hits.

Ha!

Well, Ansel Adams once said "Owning a Nikon doesn't make you a great photographer, it just makes you a Nikon owner."

Here's a perfect example.

Why does everyone have such a problem with this flipping watches. It’s business, I guess if you have always been employed then maybe you can’t understand. When you work for yourself every day is about making money. If I saw a watch I didn’t like right now and I could sell it tomorrow for a few thousand profit. I would. I mean why the hell wouldn’t you? Extra 3k towards a watch you like.

I for one have no real issue with most private buyer/seller deals.

It’s the AD/Grey deals and the BS utubers that annoy me.

He did say in the comments section on his YT video that he decided to sell it because he found it hard to read, bad eyes etc.

Many others here have said the same thing about their own 116500s.

I have a 116509 and it can be hard to read in certain light or angles. I can see his point of view.

He wouldn’t be the first to sell a Rolex either for profit or because he wasn’t enjoying it. Pity he made a whole song and dance about how much he wanted it, dream watch etc. I feel he meant it, but I think he regretted either the spend or didn’t get the enjoyment from it that he thought it would bring him. Each to their own, he hasn’t done anything really wrong.

The moralising here gets intense sometimes.

The flipping is ok. It’s the fake drooling over it and making a freaking video about obtaining his dream watch. That guy knew he was flipping it to begin with. He’s a liar and an actor.....

Really, what is so beautiful or special about this story? Guy plunks down 18K for a grail watch to mark a milestone - so what?
Now, if he had turned around and donated it to a charity auction, now THAT would have been a beautiful story.

Complains in his video about flippers selling it double retail and turns it in a week for 22 when he paid 18. All the time saying how important this piece is and it’s a mile stone for him. What a douche.

That’s what real buyers will probably do as well. He clearly bought it to flip and make a profit. Nothing wrong with that but clearly his first video was a fraud. Not unlike most promoters on the internet nowadays.
