Are stores open again in other parts of the world? I’m in the Middle East and we are still on lockdown.

Not in the UK, they are not even answering emails, I suppose if staff are furloughed they can’t do any thing associated with work.

Thanks, Mate. Oman is still locked down until 29 May. Hope things are well in the UK.

I've tried walking into a few ADs to see what they have. I somehow feel creepy asking for a SS sports model. Almost like asking a supermodel for a date.

Was that a present to you from her? Great gift. Did you do an incoming here?

I would definitely ask the supermodel for the date. She, at least, might say yes.

yes it was.

Yup. Created an incoming thread.
A.D. gift wrapped it and overnight shipped the watch for free.

It was an excellent experience according to my wife.

Maybe his wife sounds hot on the phone? Back in the day I worked in a call center with a hideous wildebeest that had the voice of an angel if that angel was a Bond girl or '60's Playmate with a southern accent. Male techs were always calling in and asking about her and I would lie out my a$$ and tell them how hot she was and that they should totally come visit. On her days off, her backline phone number would ring constantly and we'd have to unplug her phone. She weighed every bit of 4 bills, snagled teeth, greasy unkempt hair. *shudder*

Don't. Just be honest and tell them that you're in the market for one and that you are a serious buyer. Get to know the salesperson, and keep making the occasional appearance. Most of these guys and gals WANT to sell to someone who will really appreciate it, if they can. Circumstances don't always allow for that, but if one comes in and you've made a good impression, you might get the call.

Of course, what I describe is a stand-up kind of retailer with class. Your mileage may vary in a large city or area with extreme demand and/or ridiculous local wealth. If you're in Silicon Valley, you'll probably be laughed out of the place.

He did. Maybe you can check his profile and then decide if or not to lay an accusation?

As we were chatting on the current situation, the SA said he had to call me back after 5pm as he had a current on going e learning. Naturally it didn’t feel to good to be brushed on in this manner especially when I already explained I am totally understand his situation and just wanted to talk and gain a Friend.

Will Rolex ad ever go back to the times where supply could meet demand and anyone could pick up a stainless steel sports piece by walking in and having SA treat them decently ?

Hey, OP. I’m from Singapore as well. Your experience is not unexpected.

There’s hundreds like yourself who call/email/visit the AD’s all asking for in demand models every week.
I don’t know which specific model you’re looking for, but if it’s the BLRO/116500/BLNR or even the Sub, it is tough.

You may want to consider a TT instead esp once you can visit and try, they’re relatively easier to land.

I had no purchase history with AD I went and scored BLNR. I was able to place a special order with approximate 6 month wait period. It would have been awesome if I got the watch on the spot but I am ok waiting 6 months

Do you really want a prostitute to love you? Cause that's what it seems like.

Our state governor allowed retail shops to open this week in Utah as long as they follow extra health rules (masks, distance, etc). The local AD was one such shop that opened so I decided to stop by and see what their situation was following the shutdown. I was interested to see if they would be eager to release something from the vault to kick-start their income, or if they maybe got some of that mystery supply that the shops in the UK were calling customers about asking for payment up front in full. Unfortunately, neither was the case. The stock in the display was sparse, to say the least. No offers to pull something from the back. The associate mentioned they hadn't received anything since March, and were waiting another couple weeks to hear from their rep in regards to what they could expect for a shipment.

Hopefully there will be more available once Rolex opens back up and can begin shipping again. For now there's not much to be had in this area however.

My dealer opened last Friday. They are high volume and don’t hoard stuff. My SA says their last shipment was before this started and they have only slim pickings. They are hoping for a largish shipment in late May but only if RolexUSA in New York is allowed to open. I don’t know this for certain but pretty sure the actual warehouse is in Long Island City, a Queens neighborhood. Maybe someone who lives there can confirm.

Is there some information your wife didn't tell u? Maybe she already used your credit card to swipe some PM pieces for herself.
