That was a bust! Site crashed this morning before the release and they have had to reschedule for tomorrow. Bone head move since they rescheduled for the same time as the Kurono release.

yeah totally agree, 17.09 really feels like the final refined design, this feels like a tweak after the fact even though the dial is nice

On first impression I thought I liked the blue over the burgundy, more impactful but went burgundy as I already have blue watches and it certainly met the 'something a bit different' that I was looking for.

With the new Messina I initially only saw the honey dial and didn't like it as the pale dial washes out the hands and numbers. But the black one is pretty good. I won't be going for one when I already have the burgundy on order though!

It's weird they are having so many site issues when most eCommerce platforms have native cloud solutions that scale automatically. It's impossible to crash something like Shopify because you're simply allocated more resources as needed. Guessing they are still using old school servers?

Yeah I also got a burgundy, something unique (cuz there are ton of options for whenever I add a bleu dial to the lineup), and also honestly, the Massena ones are not worth extra 700 or so for a less coherent design. The Honey color is nice, but maybe needs black hands or something

This will make it even easier for the flippers and bots to get one. They will just create thousands of fake email addresses.

I personally really like the watch, but my hopes for getting one have gone down even more than this morning before the announcement of a lottery.

And for those that complain about the price for a watch with a sellita movement, this is a Jumping hour movement so it's not an off the shelf movement. Tudor used to sell watches with ETA movements and people were jumping at the chance to buy a black bay. Hell Kurono Tokyo probably just sold thousands of watches for $1800 with a Miyota movement that sells for $100. A watch is more than it's movement.

How did you find out? I checked back on the site, and it is still showing a launch date and time as of 3 hrs earlier.

Maybe Willian is using the same creaky servers that TZ still runs on.

Me too. Between people mistakenly (but in good faith) sending multiple emails because they weren't sure if they were already entered, the possibility of spammers and bots flooding the inbox, and the fact that Massena used a Gmail address, which puts a cap on the amount of incoming volume per hour, I would very much like to see how Massena pulled off a fair raffle.

Total Hypewear.

But I give them credit. They went from sub $1000 watches that needed explanation, to FOMO darlings by taking advantage of the current market and loose money..

Suddenly $8K on the secondary market for a Ming diver is a MUST BUY!!
