It's always comfortable though because the rubber is just flexible enough to not squeeze your arm when it's tight.

And as the others have said it fits with everything from t-shirts and shorts to suit and tie!
Cheers but I'm not a Dane, well not since I was ten and put in the Danes House, others were Saxons, Normans and Celts... no Gryffindor back then. Good days

5167 is best “daily” I own, beats out any of my Rolex in comfort and enjoyability… unless I’m headed for water, a different time zone or extreme sports (then I’ll grab my SubC or BLNR).

i can't speak to long term durability and I've never had a patek service Experience, but i can say for the past 6 months or so I've found the 5167 to be one of the best, if not the best daily wearer ever. It's insanely versatile, super comfortable and there are lots of strap options!

i've been wearing mine pretty liberally, park with the kids, swimming, etc. no issues!

Great pics !
My biggest gripe w the 5167 which limits my use of it during more active pursuits is the clasp. I’ve had it pop open spontaneously on several occasions , and so not confident enough in its security to wear it while swimming , biking etc

Never had it happen in pretty rough use. Perhaps yours needs adjustment.

Probably.. but even w adjustment in general I don’t trust butterfly clasps (including on other watches of mine) as much as I do the Oyster

I've been wearing a 5164 daily for years. I've worn it through some tough conditions with no issue - I can only imagine the 5167 is even better for daily wear due to lack of pushers!

I similarly get more use out of my 5164 than anything else. It also generates the most comments - good, bad or indifferent. There are some occasions i don’t wear it for that reason to be transparent.

The 5164 is definitely an easy wearing watch. One thing to keep in mind is the internals are nowhere near as beefy as Rolex. I usually wear my Pateks for evening outings etc but stick to Rolex for the day to day... would all depend on your lifestyle tho

This may be true. But I have worn Aquanauts swimming, climbing, playing golf (admittedly my swing speed is not "pro level") and pretty much anything else with zero problems. I don't want any watch that I can't use doing anything I wish to do. Except those with leather straps which I won't use swimming or diving.

I 100% suggest wearing them as much as you can, just going off what a Patek watch maker told me.

Sounds like you cut the strap to snug not allowing for wrist expansion in the heat.

Pretty minty for 13 years wow! The Aquanaut is definitely better scratch wise than the 5711 worn daily

Its a great watch for a daily....

If we factor in money however, now thats a diff story and depends on the person!

When I bought mine at 16.5 I thought it was overpriced but still loved it, went to beach with it and everything

So if cost is a factor I dont think worth it at current values, personally!

reliability wise it was great for me
My 5712 broke, 5960p broke (twice) but 5167 was always solid

My favorite watch in my collection. Own it for over 3 years now. But since COVID it’s the only watch I wear everyday.
Super comfortable and find it hard to wear my other watches after wearing it for such a long time. I like how I can wear it loose and it stays in place and you don’t feel it on the wrist. Also don’t baby it and still looks really good.

I think it’s a near perfect watch and almost impossible to rotate out

It may depend on what your 'daily' activities are. If you're a Cubical King or Desk Jockey it should be fine. My / wife's lifestyles are far too active with gym, water sports, etc, so wife and I sold our matching set of Aqua's for Rolex due to far higher durability (and acceptable service times as / when needed).

If you're afraid of bezel scratches, also add that into the equation. i don't care and Rolex makes it easy to bezel swap for like-new, whereas the Aqua needs to be polished.

As I mentioned before, this is not at all my experience. My two Aquanauts have been swimming, shallow diving, rock climbing, racketball, golf and you name it with no problems at all. I'm sure some real "tool watch" activities would challenge my experience. Saw a jack hammer operator in NYC on the street wearing a Rolex once!

Could care less about scratches. Agree Rolex service is quicker and cheaper.

Light and very practical watch.. my advice is wear it as much as you can it may be the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn. Deserves to be appreciated. Don’t fixate about scratching it, don’t think about polishing it, life is too short :)
