With that said, yes, the stark contrast between black and white is noticeable, I definitely agree with that. It is why I still have it. Where I differ in opinion is that it is just not enough for my tastes. The diameter is too small. The other person in this thread stating his wife wears it more than him is a testament to the size. It looks great on women's wrists. It does not look right on a man's wrist 6.75 inches and above to me.

I use to think the Daytona needed to be bigger but after many Omega Chronos I have to admit the Daytonas balance just feels and looks right because the design of certain watches lend them self to larger sizes like Panerai and mainly dive watches. Omega Chrono designs lend themselves to being blown up in size as Omega is all over the map in sizes for the same watch.

I wear everything from 44mm Panerai/ DSSD to the Daytona and have a 7” wrist. The size difference is always noticeable jumping between extreme sizes but after a few minutes, I don’t even notice anymore. Big full polished watches like a Breitling is extremely noticeable but not in a good way to me and screams all the wrong things. It boils down to personal style. The Daytona has a classic swagger and sophistication to it that doesn’t need to be messed with. IMO.

To be fair the Speedmaster is 42mm, a bit too big for my tastes as well and would not want to see the Daytona that big personally. I do think 40mm is the sweet spot, a Speedmaster at 40mm sounds awesome as well

To each their own

I totally agree with you on that

Absolutely, the Omega designs lend themselves to being larger.

The Daytona has been this size since the 16520 debuted in the late 80’s, it was slightly smaller in the 4 digits. Hasn’t exactly hurt its sales.
You either like the Daytona or you don’t, it is what it is. Plenty of other chronographs out there to choose from if you don’t like it.
yes huge difference, what watches do you have?

No. If Rolex wasn't tempted in the 2000's to do a larger Daytona, they will never do it. I like to 40's, 41's and 42's, but I keep the Daytona the way it is, love that too

Perfect As Is

I have a 7.25” / 18.4 cm wrist and I would not change anything on it … well, I would take a smaller glidelock if offered.
