My AD said he is extremely busy today with phone calls and WhatsApp texts from customers. Many just wanted the 5811, 5712/1R and 5990/1A.

Fingers crossed I'll be able to slip in on securing salmon world time as the unwanted black sheep!

I highly doubt it - strategically it is quite interesting that the MSRP is rather close to the market value of the steel 5711 ...

yes, a pity. I'm still unsure if I like the 5811 wg as much as the 5711 steel.

It's far from unwanted. I think that model will be hot because of the SS and salmon combi (the last time that happened, that piece unique was auctioned for 31m). Good luck and hope to see an incoming soon

That’s what I figure. I’m glad the blue 5726 is still around, but this WT has also caught my attention big time.

Hmmm slow and steady. I really wish Patek would make a 5172/A. Black dial please or white opaline.

Back away from the world timer sir! Please return back to nautilus display case.

I have no doubt or illusion that I’m way back in the 2025 or 26 line after spending more time at the AP party during Covid era. But calling in some favors later today so we’ll see!

18th October 2022 New Release Thread - here it is

They’ve gone and perfected my favorite nautilus (5712).

Edit: I didn’t see but is the steel discontinued?

Patek is killing it - Keeping it modern in the "right" way. Making watches larger and larger (ala the calatrava) is not "keeping it modern". Doing what they did here - well, take notes. This is how a timeless brand continues to execute. Well done to the Sterns and PP team.

I do expect to see a 5811/1R soon and the platinum version in 2026 (Nautilus 50th anniversary).

And how long more the 5712/1A is going to continue in the catalogue?
Going back to dial side movement insertion makes me want it now

The steel 5712 is still listed on their website, so I assume it's not yet discontinued.

Crypto and insta bros had their xmas early this year.

Realeases are superb but unobtainable and it is only adding fuel on the fire.

I would have loved some annual comp or Calatrava. But with 31 Nautilus models available and 11 Calatrava. I think I am no more the target. :(

Let's hope the last 2 models in nov will be more classic (not fashion/color trendy a-la-Zenith-or-other-lvmh-brands).

Around 60-70k for a simple Nautilus in white gold? No thanks.. I’d take the 5204g though.. The precious metal calatravas are looking like value now haha. Disappointed not to see some new ones, hopefully later in the year.

5811/1G is nothing but a defensible price increase to close the gap between market values and 5711/1A MSRP. People will accept this easier than simply doubling the price of the 5711, and doesn’t narrow the market by releasing in a colored metal (though I’m sure those will come, too).

Watch is superb! What surprises me is the caliber for that price... (min 35 hours – max. 45 hours for the power reserve, design, ...). :(

A cynic would say it’s just milking the cash cow by switching to precious metal. Everyone has a choice but I wouldn’t buy it even at retail. The lefty chrono and rainbow aqua are just following Rolex.. The 5204g is nice but nothing particularly new. Personally, the best of Patek has come and gone and is vintage I feel. Sounding like enjoy the music these days…Maybe I’ll change my mind when I see the calatravas and hopefully some new men’s aqua.

What a line up, love all of the releases, absolutely beautiful pieces with many varieties from designs to complications.

Love what Patek did with the 5712/1r, the rose gold suits it very nicely as the 5712 in my opinion had always been the more elegant in the Nautilus lineup, that blue/brown gradient dial is absolutely gorgeous.

New dial on 5990/1a is also beautiful, I think it's darker than 5711 which gives it a more mature and calm/collected feel.

5373P is just leagues above my understanding and appreciation for watch making, it's just amazing.

Love how they have the super vibrant 7968/300R-001 Rainbow Aquanaut as well as a classic, timeless looking 5204G-001; and even a stainless steel world time with salmon color dial. Something for everybody - though I will probably have no shot at acquiring any of these soon, still a joy to see these beautiful pieces.

Do you know if the Rainbow or the 7118/1300R are a creation by Salanitro (PP invested recently in that company)?

The biggest issue with the 5711/1a for me has always been how delicate it feels on the wrist. I for one am happy that it now comes in WG. Patek’s pricing strategy makes sense because it’s now priced alongside the 16202OR – before it was discontinued, the 5711/1r was significantly lower than its PM Royal Oak counterpart.

Maybe I'm wrong but the 5712/1a clasp description has been updated to the new one.

but no change on the 5740 or 5726/1a
