While the Daytona would be nice, definitely not worth giving up two fine watches AND $10k. No way for me.

I wouldn't trade one of those beauties straight up for a Daytona!

I prefer the sub date, so I personally would not trade the sub date + another watch + $10k for a Daytona.

In all honesty, I think I like the Daytona more. I have a black dial already but I've always wanted a white dial. And if I'm being honest, I know it isn't going to happen at retail.

I'm really on the fence about it, I'm going to give myself until about July or so to decide. By then I'm sure the 126500 will be in the open market as well and reviews will be out.
I was leaning towards yes, but now that I see you already have a black dial Daytona, absolutely no.

I have a SubC and a DaytonaC. I would not do the trade of the Milgauss + Sub + cash for a Daytona. Daytona is a nice watch at MSRP. It's in my opinion not worth the current asking price. I honestly prefer the Sub to the Daytona.

I like the Daytona but I don’t think I’d part with those 2 plus cash for it. You have 2 cracking watches there and quite different. Good luck if you decide to go ahead

It’s hard to call any modern Rolex good value today. But I think these 2 + 10k for a Daytona highlights that they’re comparatively good value!

God no, keep your perfect duo and if you want to scratch the chronograph itch, look for something with more personnality into it.

A Zenith chronomaster, a Sinn or a GS triple nipple for example.

I would much prefer having a Daytona vs a Sub+Milgauss but the amount of cash you need to add on top of your two watches is a bit difficult to swallow

Yep, I’ve gotten the message. I’ll definitely continue to hold on to those two pieces. Like I said earlier, I already have a black dial DaytonaC, but I’ve always wanted the white dial.

Im not making any decisions until later in the year, so I’ll have time to sit on it. And who knows, maybe my AD will finally come through so I won’t have to do any trades!

As one person above said, the prices of the 116500 will probably come down at some point as well once the new one hits the streets. So it’s worth it to wait and see. I’m also considering a VC overseas dual time … something very different to the Daytona.

I would keep your 126610LV and sell the Milgauss, and add the Daytona instead...

You could get a black dial Daytona for little cash added from Moda on Facebook.

I did an even tougher trade earlier this year and was in your position similarly. I traded a Pepsi ceramic and LV current Sub for a white dial Daytona evenly.

I don’t regret it, but it was hard. You have to really like the Daytona to do it, and I would suggest trying it on more than once before you pull the trigger.

Yes, I'm considering that as well although that would require A LOT more cash outlay ...

I already have the black dial Daytona, so only interested in the white dial. I wouldn't be able to let go of the Pepsi as I love that one too much and I consider it more special than the LV. But the most important thing is you don't regret it and that's all that matters! I've tried on the white dial Daytona a few times now and I really like it. No one will sell it to me though! ha

What if you sold the black dial and added cash or sold the Milgauss and got the white dial?
Then pick up a Speedmaster at some point to replace the black dial loss.
I feel like having a Speedmaster (current model) and white Daytona would be a great pair.

I could not let go of the black dial Daytona, I like it too much and wear it often. I wouldn't mind letting go of just the Milguass but it would take a lot of cash on top, so likely not a smart move.

I already have a Speedmaster - agree, it's a fantastic watch and pairing w/ the Daytona!

Once you have the white, how often do you think you’d wear the black?
I would love to have both, but can’t imagine choosing the black over the white most days!

I could see myself rotating between them because they serve different purposes I think but I agree ... I'd likely grab the white dial more often than not (maybe 60/40 split or so).

I did the exact same thing. Glad he’s not that crazy.
