This is a profiling statement, kind of like when we were taught not to judge a book by its cover.
If you size someone up by there watch, then your pretty shallow.
Jealousy comes to mind as well, maybe that your not in that persons position to adorn your wrist with such a thing.

Its been two years since I have started this thread, got knee deep into the watch game and I guess my opinion has changed a lot.

I use to think of a watch as projecting something about myself to others,
Now I see a watch more of an expression of my personality,
depending on the watch I chose it reflects my mood, my taste and my attitude towards a particular situation or event.
A watch is an extension of myself.

So yeah I agree its all about who is rocking it and if he is rocking it naturally.

I have to agree with the post above. It's how the wearer acts that determines if they are 'douchey or classy'.
