The R was never really going anywhere and also the G was at or below... it’s just going back to where it suppose to.
Same with the 5980 1AR There is a entire cluster of nautilus that got the spill over effect. At the end of the day. It has and always will be about the 5711a and 5712a |

Boohoo. It was great seeing our watches reach stratospheric heights. One friend of mine offloaded all his at their peak. He can probably acquire them all back and have extra cash in his pocket. Offloaded at the right time...He has a way with luck that guy.

It’s like the submariner. You can add all the complications and metals you want but the basic steel date submariner is the classic.

They'll sell.
All these things take a while to move. If they were in the $20k range like an SS Daytona, they'd move a lot faster. Also remember there's 10x more demand and interest in Rolex vs. Patek. And also remember that list price != sale price. :) I'd wager these will all sell at 10-15% below list price, as is often the case. They might stick longer as grey market dealers sometimes like to maintain a floor longer to test the market. Also, there's a slowdown right now for various geopolitical reasons. GM dealers who can afford to hold onto inventory will obviously hold longer until things ease up. |
