I'd sell all 3 of your current collection and pick up a Pepsi & VC Blue Dial

Rolex for me, I like the VC dual time expectorant for the positioning of the Am Pm indicators, but the gmt master ii is my buy

I personally also like the Pepsi on jubilee, has a unique and sporty cool look.

Blnr on jubilee all day long...plus it would compliment the lvc very nicely. The vc dials, bezel and even bracelet don't do much for me.

Holy Trinity VC GMT for me. Personally, I was never impressed with the Rolex GMT.

I wouldn't buy either. I would find the best example of a 16710 available and add extra bezel inserts.

Which GMT would you purchase? Rolex vs Vacheron Constantin

The VC is the more beautiful. But if you want the watch that'll win the popularity contest then it's the GMT Master.

If I can afford both, VC no contest.

I have the VC Dual Time Silver dial. As a watch it's miles ahead of the Rolex, but not as durable.

I bought it from the VC online store last month. Pretty surprised that I could.

If money was not an issue, I would VC all day, every day. VC Dual Time and Rolex GMT are not on the same level.

Not really though, VC is not something you can compare any Rolex to. It’s an entirely different level of sophistication and finesse.

Are you really comparing Rolex to Vacheron? Seriously?

My mom once remarked that Rolex is the most expensive watch brand.

I could've launched into an hour-long tirade about the Holy Trinity, the independents, the Richard Milles, Jacob & Co's and the MB&F's.

instead I just said, "Yeah, it sure is."

VC. The watch itself is on another level and I love how it has a skeleton caseback so you can see the movement.

Putting aesthetic preference and (crucially here) cost aside, then in terms of horology it's an absolute no-brainer. It shouldn't even be a question. VC is in a different league.

However, none of that matters a damn if you don't like the way a thing looks, or if you can't afford it.

Personally, I love the VC aesthetically and I'm a horology fan first and foremost instead of a Rolex fanboy per se, but I just can't justify more than 20k for a single piece. It's kind of a psychological barrier I just can't breach.

So if money wasn't a consideration I'd be going with the VC without a second's hesitation. (And I say that as a huge BLNR fan and owner).

No brainer for me; it would be the Rolex BLRO on Oyster. It is THE quintessential GMT watch. Period.

Rolex simply because it is THE GMT. I love the blue VC but feel like the complication is less well done there.

Can someone answer a Dorklehead question?

So… the VC. Is the AM-PM indicator for the local (two hands) time or the GMT (one hand) time? I ask because it LOOKS like the GMT hand traverses the dial twice a day(?). I don’t see any numbers on the bezel ring of the watch to indicate 24 hour time, like on the Rolex.

I admitted it was a Dorklehead question!
