Thank you

No one has cancelled, but I did get a LOT of emails back supporting my decision to alter the prototype

It already looks great, but can be just that tiny bit better.

Icon17 Bel Canto Phoenix

I am delighted to report that CW have agreed that I can share 1 image of the prototype Phoenix publicly.

Please note that this is a pre-production prototype on loan to me, and is the only watch in existence at present. It is also not accurately representative of the final production watch.

Note that the 99 limited bespoke watches are expected in late Q1 2024. The project actually commenced in December 2022 i.e. that's when I commenced discussions with CW. So we are certainly not queue jumping other Bel Canto customers.

Please don't contact Christopher Ward to request a Phoenix, as these sold out immediately on release, over six months ago.

I also attach a youtube video which appeared today, as it shows me wearing this prototype. Richard, of RichReviews, also wore the same watch for his parts to camera.

Saw the email. Looks pretty sexy! Cant wait! Rough release April?

Only thing that can make the Bel Canto better is more integration of bracelet into the bezel the way Ming does it

Nope referring to there being less open space between the band and bezel making it look almost integrated

Those with an allocation will already have received a much more detailed update today.

Yes I saw that earlier today. Certainly one of the more interesting bespokes, and I'm keen to see how that textured dials works with the intricate movement on display in Bel Canto. I do like it

Jas this is a stunner!! Only thing I am having a difficult time notice the hour and minute hands. Feels like they blend in too much. Unless its the way you took the photo to show the pop of the phoenix orange.

I think even if it looked good, it would be nowhere compared to Phoenix

Glad you like it

The hour and minute hands on Bel Cantos are not as easy to read as full size hands on a normal watch.

But I have an Azzurro (blue) Bel Canto too, and that has silver hands. Those visually merge with the bridges making it pretty hard to read the time quickly.

The black (white inner is lume) in practice are far more readable, and you can read them at a glance in real life. This was a deliberate choice, both for readability, but also for aesthetics, as orange and black work perfectly together (as on the car).
