The Ranger is so under rated it's a very sweet and well designed piece. Tudor give it a depth rating of 150m which is less than the Black Bay, but I would wager a few bob that is just marketing do differentiate it from the so-called dive model.

For sure great watch models on their revamp. The Black Bay(red) and Pelagos are great buys. I for sure would own a THC(blue) if I didn't already have my eyes on the Omega Lunar Dust.

The BBr is the best strap watch I've seen...it's just the right color for most combinations. A great ND that's the perfect conterpart to the Rolex SUB-DATE 50th LV I own....

......As for the Pelagos....it's a must have for any collection, IMO. Perfect size(42mm), weight, material(titanium), matte dial & bezel, ar on the sapphire, nice functional clasp, and ceramic "lume" bezel. It's a little sharp on the edges...but nothing you can't handle.

If this had a rotating bezel, I would buy one, and attach a cyclops.

I was bitten by these two. The Fastrider alternates with an ExpII for daily wear. The DoubleDate alternates with a TT DJII for evenings out on the town.

I have owned a ceramic submariner for 3 years or so love it.

however I think Tudor's are great watches as well and I am happy to have my grey THC in my collection and it gets just as much wrist time as the sub.

oh and I had a moment of weakness last week and added a red black bay on leather - such a great watch and the purchase price is a bonus.

Don't get the Tudor fandom among Rolex people. It was created specifically to sell cheaper watches with off the rack movements through the Rolex distribution network. In essence, Tudor is no different than any other brand that knocks off Rolexes with the same generic internals and somewhat flashier or retro externals--except this producer is owned by Rolex.

To choose Tudor over Rolex, or even put them alongside each other, is to emphasize lower price point and style over movement quality--and robust, high quality in-house movements are much of what Rolex value and reputation are justifiably based on. If I wanted something less than a Rolex there are more interesting and higher quality brands than Tudor that don't trade on a Rolex association.

With both brands produced in the same facility, by the same employees, using the same equipment, and backed by the same world wide service network, I'd hardly call that trading on the Rolex association.

While some see Tudor as a stain to their Rolex purity I'm still dismayed how many can't understand how others could possibly have a desire to go with a different choice.

Extremely well said! I couldn't agree more.

My decision to own Tudor is based on a few factors.

1. Their current lineup has some real gems
2. Chronographs that are extremely legible and 42mm (I use chrono a lot)
3. The price point is fantastic for a well made Swiss watch

The last point is the biggest one for me......I actually only have a couple Rolexes that interest me at this point in time and all they would just be different versions of models that I already own. Tudor has allowed me to stay within the history of the Rolex empire and have a nice reasonable selection.

The BB is really the only Tudor I like in their line-up.

I'll probaby buy the red bezel BB in the coming months!
