My buddy is a huge Giants fan and he had a hard time rooting for the Dodgers this post season. Division rivals does that to you.

Yeah!...I'm just trash talking!

I do it with Boston fans too!

I love how the fans of these two teams have so much animosity towards one another......

Bruno is probably going to give me a 'KO'

Burnett was tough last night with that nasty backdoor curve. Back to Philly all tied up. Go Phillies!

I'm a little bothered this year that the TV network isn't showing much of the pre-game activities. Hell, part of the World Series is seeing the history and personalities of the teams playing. Wheres Reggie Jackson and the rest of the Yankee legends at?
I hope Philadelphia shows more of there legends and history.

Lee was unbelievable in the first game and Burnett showed his class in the second. Pedro was also very good but was outclassed by Burnett.

Just shows that pitching wins the crucial games and not so much the hitters, although hitters get the bigger salaries!

No, you're talking about legends of the franchise, and the Phillies have a lot. If there's only ten legends of the sport, a lot of great players are going to be left out.

I agree about the network commentators. Case in point - David Wells was on the Jimmy Kimmel show a few days ago and said while doing color commenta
ry on a playoff game, he over spoke the network commentator, whoever that was, and got hell for it. He was told never to interupt the network commentator again.
I remember once watching a fight on HBO and Kevin Rooney, the old trainer for Mike Tyson was doing color commentary. A big applause was heard after a round and Larry Merchant said the fans really appreciated that round, then Kevin Rooney corrected him and said the fans were applauding because that round was the over/under bet round in Vegas. You never heard of Kevin Rooney again on HBO!
These network commentators think they are bigger and more famous then the sport they are commenting on. Unbelivable!

Lemme guess. By your definition, the top ten MLB legends are all YANKEES!

Legends of the Royals - George Brett
Definitely the most colorful legend of the Royals after he charged the umpire and Billy Martin at the plate over the "pine tar incident".
Maybe one of the greatest "losing your mind" incidents caught on tape ever!

A great moment and one of the 4-5 best hitters I had the pleasure of watching. That guy could rake. Great third sacker too.

Just turned down a ticket to the series tonight. By the time the game is over and the trip back home, I'm looking at 5:00 A.M walking thru my door at the end. Too many things going on Monday morning I can't miss.
Now its killing me!

Lets Go Phils

What would be the reasoning for not playing during the day on weekends like the old days!

Bud Selig stated earlier this week that he'd like to see the return of day WS baseball in the form of one game per year. We'll see if it happens, given the likely extreme resistance from the networks. Fox stated they'd be happy to do it if MLB accordingly lowered the price to match the advertising dollars they claim they'd lose.

EVERY YEAR 1 TEAM WINS IT ALL..... EVERYONE ELSE IS A LOSER....... yankees=27 world championships...... we are already thinking about a repeat.... the weekend was great besides my beloved giants taking a beating from the eagles... that was hard to sit thru.....

Its not looking too good for the Phils. Seems like the bats can't get hold of the ball. When the Phils were kicking butt, they were swinging at almost everything that came near the plate, now it seems like they are constantly looking for the perfect pitch.
They better get on track real fast!
