I can sure take some...anything in particular?

Oh, one thing to look out for- The material inside the winder box seems to flake off with age. I understand it is a common problem.

It's just good to see wrist shots, particularly in comparison to other watches. It looks in good company in the last shot.

The BLNR looks like a brute. David and Goliath. I did have a ceramic GMT and this pic does put the size of the 3940 in perspective.

A very cool watch, I have a 5146g slate dial, and I'd like to get a 3940j to complement it.

I'm collecting my first Patek on Thursday - I've already decided a 3940j will be next.

The world time in plat is really amazing! There are so many choices!! That's what makes collecting so exciting and painful for the pocket!

I'm really thinking about a PC there are a few choices so it's difficult to decide which one to go for 3940/3970/5970/5270latest just can't decide but I then look at the Worldtimer and think will I regret letting it go. Also Baselworld will bring in some nice pieces I'm sure and I love the 5131 but wouldn't pay over the odds for that piece.
Everyone here has such amazing watches it's a total pleasure to see them

Should I sell my 5146G slate dial and purchase a 3940P?

It's so difficult when there so many beautiful times pieces to be had. I have to admit I don't think I'll rest until I have a grand complication. Take your time though and enjoy some quality wrist time with your Worldtime.

But you've just got the 3940J? Would you be selling that too?
The 5146 does look good in that picture.

Go for it but personally I'd rather have 2 different watches than the same model but in different metals.
Having said that if I had an unlimited budget I would buy full sets- J, G, R and P, cool

I'll have to think over it. They may be undervalued for perpetuals but they aren't cheap (J, G, R , P) in the monetary sense and offloading them in the future will be extremely difficult as only the minority of the people like us enjoy these "lost" pieces. The 99% majority of the other collectors dismiss the 3940 as being "boys" size and "has been". If you look at the prices of 3970 (also 36mm), their prices are freefalling

After 3 weeks of hesitation, intense searching for available pieces all over the world, my childhood friend and I cracked for one white metal each this week. We finally met for dinner today... Platinum and white gold
