Of course there is, that’s what makes TRF so great.

Different opinions from people of all walks of life.

So you do whatever feels best for you.

PS. Sub with suit is no problem for me.

As we all know 99% of the time nobody notices what kind of watch you’re wearing anyway. So it’s all about how you feel.

When my Submariner was the only Rolex I owned, yes I wore it with a suit many times. It certainly made me feel more special and formal than wearing a Seiko quartz watch

Since I’ve added an Explorer to my collection that has now become my go to watch when wearing a suit. It just feels a little more dressy and appropriate in a formal business atmosphere.

But if I had to I wouldn’t hesitate wearing my submariner with a suit. Formal dinner jacket (Tux) - probably not

I think it would be fine. If it were a solid yellow gold sub even better. But if given the choice, and I had other watches to wear, the SS sub would not be my first pick.

I'd probably go with my datejust.

But, if I was traveling or had no other watch available. Sure why not.

Thanks.
Sorry, not for me. I prefer something more dressy.

My take is that for some people - including me - a carefully-chosen watch represents who you are, and that doesn't change with what you wear. My clothes vary according to my environment and what I'm doing, but my watch doesn't.

A GMT goes better with a suit than a Submariner, especially the LN.

A Submariner is essentially a dress watch these days. I see it in business settings far more often than in more casual settings.

Most definitely, it's fine in this day and age. Any Rolex can be worn with a suit in theory, good luck to all you DSSD owners when wearing french cuffs.

A suit yes.

Any form of sports watch with a tux - absolutely not.

If you're asking the "suit" question in the context of a business meeting, surely people will judge you for your knowledge and input, as opposed to what damn watch you're wearing. In this day and age with formal attire generally becoming more casual from a business perspective, surely we've moved on from judging such a trivial thing.

Hell I've seen business owners/leaders turn up to multi million dollar negotiations in polo shirts/slacks and one time in tshirt/jeans. That last one was probably the toughest negotiation I've ever encountered, and after 5 minutes I can assure you no on was judging him on what he was wearing at all.

Be yourself, be individual, if you like the watch, wear it. Don't let it wear you.

The majority of the most successful people I know wear either a Garmin or an Apple Watch, even with a suit. So yeah, I think of sub will be fine.

These days you can wear whatever you want with a suit. It's about what comes out your mouth. If they're are judging your watch then it's prob a fairly superficial relationship.
Subs and GMTs are popular in the game of validating success to a certain $ point and audience. 'i want to use that recruiter, look at his watch. It's a Rolex! He must be good..'

Sports watches aren't deemed appropriate with suits historically but since Apple watch all bets are off. I'm not remotely successful in grand scheme but I wear my Garmin watch to the highest level customer meeting. I do not want to distract from the information.

Easily without any issues, also regularly wearing Pam 232 with Tux and it is whooping 47 mm.Pam fits into dress watch category - no complication.

Depends on how cool you, the suit and the occasion is.

If you get your orders from M I think you are good to go, but if you take advice from members on a watchforum I suspect the answer is no - you should not wear a Sub with your suit.
