That’s because you’re used to staring at the gigantic thing on your wrist called Exp II.

I'm not surprised, but I think the pricing is in error. Or maybe he is actually testing out the market on this one.

The 42,000 list by David is the bank wire price.

However, on Chrono 24, he has it still listed at about 39,000!!!

Of course, with chrono24, he has to pay another 5% or so in fees, so it just doesn't add up.

I think in the next couple of months it will hover around the low 40s, though.

Agreed. Never understood why some guys equate the size of a watch with its appeal, or lack thereof. It's about design, feel, comfort, etc ... Either a watch works or it doesn't, no matter if it's 36mm or 44mm, or anything in between.

Love it or hate it, the Daytona has been the hottest Rolex for decades now and will continue to be.

Not really. He has one listed today for ~$38.6k and that’s from 2017.

This is the market value of the watch, inspired by simply supply/demand dynamics

40k plus Daytona

Once you get anywhere near this price level, a very nice “swiss made” 16520 should probably be the radar instead?

How to check the real price? Ask a grey dealer how much they'd pay for the same watch,.

Numbers are real and people are paying.. Just like everything else as long as people keep buying at these prices the market will continue to escalate.

Michael Jordan wears a platinum Daytona it’s all in what you like and no more!

I don’t understand how so many of these threads are relevant on a watch enthusiast forum. Doesn’t add much to the community’s knowledge base at large. Just fuel for more opining and whining.

I would love either for these talks to be banned or for the creation of a separate sub forum for investment/speculation and other non-watch-related-but-loosely-associated-with-watches topics.

+10000000000000000

Seems like every other thread on the forum is now related to pricing or speculation.

Maybe so, when bitcoin is going up. I haven't noticed the same correlation when btc is going down.

Is this due to investors? I can’t imagine a watch enthusiast paying that kind of premium.

Probably on you too since your wrist doesn’t seem that big. All those watches you posted look big on you. Don’t try to oversell your size
