I think the 6 digit Datejust is the best bang for your buck Rolex you can buy - Date complication, infinite variation of dial, bracelet and bezel configurations. Built like tanks. I voted with my wallet - here are my 3 (116264, 116200 and 126200)

From a comfort perspective, do you have a bracelet preference between the DJ Oyster and DJ Jubilee ?

I find the jubilee to be more comfortable, just feels smoother on the wrist with the smaller links. Also better on a hot day with the more holes. The oyster is an incredible bracelet however and the differences aren’t major.

Although I think both are equally comfortable, I ended up getting a jubilee bracelet to make sure that I could get a precise fit. My understanding is that the oyster bracelet that comes with the DJ doesn’t have half links.

I think both are equally comfortable, but I understand that the oyster bracelet on the DJ doesn’t come with a half link. So I went for the jubilee to get a more precise fit.

got a new DJ36 for my wife earlier this year..
i kinda like it myself (the smooth bezel and blue dial) but a little too small for my wrist.
the DJ41 smooth bezel unfortunately is not rounded.

I really like that exact configuration of a Datejust

Someone on this forum (forgot his username) keeps posting really cool pics of it

A little older than many of the beautiful DJs in this thread, but here is my 1967 DJ and only vintage watch. Obviously the leather strap is a replacement, but the movement has been well serviced over the years and is still perfect!

I like the fluted bezel with either bracelet. This "girl" kept catching my eye so I took her home! The beauty of the DJ is the number of orderable configurations. Buy what you like!

So yesteryear....

Datejust is the quintessential Rolex model. Here is one of mine. It screams 1980's - 1990's. Two tone, champagne dial. Recently serviced by RSC running within 1-2 seconds a day, SO comfortable and fits my girly wrist well at 36mm.
