Your Ducati looks amazing and I thinks its a fast bike, right? At least you could tell your parents about your bike- my Sis has kept her motorcycle a secret from our parents- she's afraid they will just freak! I almost blew it today- we were visiting my dad in the hospital, and I was all excited about the possibility of her taking me for a ride.....well she looked at me, nearly choking on her ice water...and i finally realized what I blabbing about...well thank God my dad is fairly deaf! He did not catch the conversation.....whew!

What a beautiful bike Bill! I'm going to show my Sis when she comes back next week!
Whoops read it wrong, that looks a big bike for a girl (Hope I'm not being sexist) We don't see many like that in the UK, all sports bikes and naked/street. Think I'd be scared getting on that.

Did she take you for a ride yet?

Sorry to hear your dad's in hospital, is he ok?

Wes,
Love the look of the Monster. Plus the sound and brakes of a Duc is like nothing else.
I call the naked standards like that Hooligan bikes. I could ride that like a hooligan and end the day with either a huge grin or on a stretcher.
Before finding the Valkyrie I had my heart set on a Suzuki B-King. I consider it to be the ultimate upright standard/sport bike. It has the power of a Hyabusa engine and it supposedly handles terrific. Unfortunately my physical therapist told me no, get an upright cruiser so I found the Valkyrie which by cruiser standards is still a rock star.

Bill, don't like the sound of the stretcher bit. It's my first Bike, and never came off one before, and hope to keep it that way. Just taking it easy at the moment. It's a 620cc and seems like all the power you'll need. These guys on 1000cc Sports bikes are crazy(although I'll probably have one in a year or two)

Certainly would like to have a go on your Valkyrie.

Good morning coffeeshop! Hey Wes, your Ducati would fit in well on Quebec's highways...as I mentioned they all like to go crazy fast in that province! (Except for our level headed Carl! He said he doesn't speed )

I'm hopefully going to get a ride in a couple of weeks- I told my sis she has to practice taking someone else out first!- like her hubby...she can practice on him

Thanks for the concern about my Dad; he's been in rough shape for a year now- heart and kidney failure; a couple of weeks ago he fell and broke his pelvis, so he'll be in a hospital for the next 2 months at least; The challenge is to make a good plan for when he gets out...thats why my sis is visiting our town more frequently-we are working with our mom to come up with something that she can live with too.

Yeah, may have to sit them down for the talk, when are they moving out.

Playing golf this afternoon, got a couple of cousins coming down from the coast. Could be a big money game. Gotta bring my A game.

Then we having a wedding tomorrow, another cousin. Weird to having it on a Thursday.

It's not overly loud. Of course when I first get on it coming off a light or accelerating it sounds pretty good but just running down the road at speed I can't hear it over the wind noise. The pipes arent stock but they're not obnoxious either. They still have the baffles in them. Also keep in mind it's a 6 cylinder boxer engine so it sounds more like a hot rod car engine than most bikes. No potato-potato lumpy idle here. My last bike was a street legal dirt bike - Honda XR650. That was louder and I'd wear ear plugs because I found it annoying. Not really sure how the HD guys cope with the excessive noise. If I can figure a way to record my bike I will. That might be pretty cool.

Well it was a whooping Michelle, and I am £20 richer.

This is my Aunt's new puppy, a whippet. Her name is Boo Boo. She wants to breed from her. So adorable.

Yep, I know- we love to complain about our high taxes, at least in Ontario, but my Dad's health care expenses- hospital stay, drugs, home dialysis machine,(a 10,000$ piece of equipment!), and daily home nursing care are all covered by OHIP; The only thing my parents have to spring for is a wheelchair rental at 25$ a month.
Heres my concern though- When its my turn to be a sickly, needy 80-ish person, will I get the same benefits? Hopefully our present health care system
survives.....

hey Wes!- another whippet! Looks like your dog in previously posted pics!
Any thoughts about acquiring a pup from Boo Boo?

We, in North America, are being assaulted with yet another crazy reality show- Here Comes Honey Boo Boo:

Maybe your Aunt can tie her Boo Boo in with this new Boo Boo- for promo purposes...!!!!

PS- Congrats on your golf winnings!! In canadian dollars that would be $31.36!!

Thanks to Michelle for putting the idea of recording my bike in my head.
by merging technology and tape I was able to fasten my old point and shoot camera to the luggage rack on the back of my bike.

Why the back of the bike? Because if it was mounted in the front all we would hear is wind and that's no fun.
So here it is. Nothing fancy or extreme. Surely not impressive. Just a road like any other.

I hope this works. I'm posting this from a keyboard flip phone.

God morning coffeeshop!
Carl-when does your official move to 3-R happen?
Is this the first time you'll be living away from home?

Wes- How was your cousin's wedding?

Lisa-We're still keeping you close in our thoughts, and hope things are calming down a bit; How are the little dunkers adjusting to the back to school scene? Your little kinder-dunker especially!

Have a happy Friday folks!
