Even better news when he comes through with payment and resolves all this... confusion. Robyn, welcome to the forum, even under such circumstances.

Robyn,
I want to THANK YOU for posting this warning and notifying other members. After checking info presented/available, it is 150% clear who's on the right side of this. Also wanted to apologize for some of the members' skepticism and caution. You had a rough welcome to this forum, to say the least - and I truly appreciate you weathering the negative remarks and sticking to it. You have done us a great service by outing a scoundrel. Thank You. I, for one, would love it if you choose to stick around and maybe visit less hostile waters in the 'Open Discussion' section. Lastly, cannot help but to express disappointment with some of the members here. Picking out spelling errors when much more important matters are at hand? Looking for ulterior motive for the first post even AFTER it became mostly clear which party is the 'good guy'? I suggest you guys ease up - when someone is doing a service to us, we need to be more appreciative. In some cases when empty accusations are made, this sort of skeptical response is warranted - but we cannot grade everyone by the same curve.

Warm Wishes for a happy holiday!! Hopefully my original intentions are clear now, and this all resolves itself.
I will post again once we have any information on Rolex1. Maybe next time I post it will be to inform you all of a great watch we have coming up in a sale!! I have no intentions of being able to afford a rolex anytime in the near future, so I will just be a member from afar!!!! You are a great community, and I have no regrets joining this forum!! |

Is this going to start the trend of apology threads again?

Exactly. Think before you hit the "submit reply" button and you won't have to be sorry.

Robyn-
Thanks for your post. I am just reading this and have to say like Greg-Mosco I am disappointed by some of the repsonses. Thanks for the heads up and also hope it all works out. On another note--not sure what has happened to TRF as of late but the quality of posts and topics has been steadily going down hill--too bad. I hope that this new breed of lurker/member find a new forum to ruin. Sorry--that is the truth though. This place has been such a great place to build friendships--learn about watches--buy watches--and look out for eachother etc. etc.--let's keep it that way!

This is a crying shame. Has he at least tried to contact you folks again?

No contact since last Friday when he said he was "going to send payment". Paperwork is still in progress for the warrant. Obviously this is not a person who deserves to be trusted on his word, so we will not rest until money is in hand or the authorities take over!
