This is true. The GMT is a more comfortable watch on the wrist for me even with a oyster bracelet. I wouldnt have believed it until owning both GMT and Sub to compare it to. That said, a GMT on a Jubilee is not even a contest which is most comfortable as it is in another class of comfort and breath ability.

I own both and yes the GMT Chnr is more comfortable than the Sub Hulk on the wrist.

The LVC is a maverick and is a casual sports watch that by nature doesn’t blend with many clothing styles. I tried working around it for years and the green is tough, so you just accept it’s always going to be a contrasting piece of jewelry on the wrist most of the time. After awhile I let my LVC go. Loved my time with it but no regrets.

Two different watches two years apart on similar vacations.

Good analysis, totally agreed with you for matching clothing style and color.

Btw, I miss Walt Disney World!

I used to own both but sold the root beer and I do really miss it but I really like the Hulk too so really tough call.... what I can say though is the CHNR is by far the nicest Rolex GMT IMHO.

I think both are too colorful to be an only watch, I would go for something more subdued for an only watch.

Hulk

Gotta go with the Hulk. Something about green, to me.

The root beer too classy for my taste.

Root Beer goes better with most cloth colors, and more comfortable on the wrist.

CHNR.

I couldn’t see myself with all the green of the hulk.

Root beer. I had a hulk for about two years and while I loved it, I did find the color a bit limiting.

I'd vote for CHNR. I had the Hulk (I think I was a victim of the hype) and just didn't like it. The dial is super nice and the sunburst effect is great but I really disliked the flat - pastel like green bezel. I get why people like the hulk but it wasn't for me and it comes down to personal preference.

I don’t care for either actually.
An 114060 Sub would go with everything and it ticks all the boxes.
Iconic
History
Style
Appeal
Timeless
Desirable

I’m sure I left something out. Love it.

Hulk. I didn’t think I would love it as much as I do, as green isn’t my favorite color. It gets more wrist time than my Batman, and I love blue.

Hulk is the more fun of the two, chnr is the classier. You just can't get enough of the hulk, the dial is amazing under any light, looks cool dressing casual, fun underwater/pool side ..etc. Chnr... Classy and that's about it.
+1.

After owning the Hulk finally, it can go with a lot more clothes than people think. I find having that one piece on you that is different, actually looks great. But yes, the root beer would go with everything.

Only? Root beer. As part of a modest collection? Hulk but not by a huge margin. Great looking watch as well.

I like them both for different reasons, but between the two, if I could only have one of those two, it would be the CHNR.
I rotate my collection, but I never have to think of whether I am dressing up or down when I wear my CNHR, it always goes with whatever I am wearing.

No question rootbeer, although I'd choose neither as an only watch.

A two tone rose gold pcl bracelet with a brown and black bezel is a versatile combo huh? I see little to know versatility. Yes, I have tried one on before.

Never was a fan of the Hulk which is why I got a Bluesy (was also easier to get) and now I am about to add a Rootbeer to the mix....so yeah, that's my vote, Rootbeer.

On a side note, does this Forum support polls? Graphs are always fun to look at.

I agree... I've worn my Hulk with multiple color combos as well. It's really about being comfortable wearing the watch with such a vibrant dial/bezel. I've gotten numerous compliments on it over the years and plan to keep it for a long time. Don't get me wrong I love the Rootbeer too, but I'm more of an SS guy at heart. Wear what you want!

I like to change the straps on my watches.

A quick google search on the Hulk, and it's... rather limited. It doesn't seem to go well with any strap if it's not green.

Rootbeer is slightly more versatile. So this is my choice between the two.

This is strictly my use case. Most people keep it in their original bracelets and are quite happy for it. There are no wrong choices here.

CHNR if you care about matching colors and such. Hulk if you don't care and just want to stand out more.
