I should be surprised by the sexism here but I’m not. Women are free to wear any watch they want to just as men are.
I still remember a very petite woman, dressed like a model, working in the Dallas Panerai Boutique wearing a 47mm Luminor. She had the presence to pull it off, looked awesome.

Agreed. She wears the watch that far down on her arm because the watch is way too big for her wrist IMHO. That said the only thing that matters is how it makes the person who wears the watch feel, regardless if it's a man or woman.

Picky picky! But look two posts above, by BigDog. Looks fine there.

And this lady wears it in the 'normal' spot

Let's agree to disagree, as I said it doesn't matter what my opinion is but I am entitled to it just like a man or woman should wear whatever they like. In the end that's the only thing that matters.

Bravo! IMHO newer Daytona timepieces are more jewelry than a tool watch and looks very nice on a lady's wrist. I have both a 116500LN and a Omega Speedmaster Professional; the Omega is a much more legible watch for actually timing events and you do not need to screw out the pushers. However, visually, the Daytona is simply stunning.

Let's face it folks, the 116500LN is a pretty watch and I can understand the appeal... my wife wouldn't mind getting her hards on mine!

True, but how many of us guys would wear a 44mm - 47mm Panerai on our wrists? I currently have a 2003 PAM00111 and it’s one of my favorite timepieces but at 44mm it is a monster on my wrist. I think it comes down to the individual and personal taste.

I’m all for women wearing the Daytona, especially wearing nothing but the Daytona. That said, women tend to wear a watch differently than a guy and choose a more loose bangle bracelet sort of look. I think it looks cool.. To be honest, anyone can wear their watch however they want as there is no correct fitting or sizing. Today’s bracelets are so well-made and if kept clean, it won’t make a difference if they’re worn loose or tight in their longevity.
In the 80’s the 36mm Daydate was worn like a bangle bracelet on executives.

Now days anything goes, and I questioned why anyone would feel their opinion on how someone else wears their a watch is’nt gauche??

Agree.
My wife has a 28mm President DJ she uses for special events but all her others are a couple of 36mm and the rest 40 and 41. She loves the larger ones and seldom wears the smaller. I think they look great on her. Some of these outdated, chauvinist ideas of what a woman should wear are frankly comical. Fashion will always change and some will adopt it while others will prefer to remain in the past.

FWIW, even Rolex approves of women wearing the "mens" sizes

Merely a matter of preference and style. My wife currently has a 37mm but if she ever wants a Daytona I'll be at the AD that same afternoon to get one!

Not me. I have chrono’s and dive watches. I use them to time many things throughout the day. In fact, my TT Explorer 1 is the only watch I have with out a means to track things.

Maybe that giant necklace? And, as I said, that watch is part of a jewelry ensemble, which does nothing for her.

Misogyny refers specifically to a hatred of women. The word is formed from the Greek roots misein (“to hate”) and gynē (“woman”). Each of these roots can be found in other English words, both common and obscure. Gynē helped to form gynecologist and androgynous, and misein can be found in such words as misoneism (“a hatred, fear, or intolerance of innovation or change”) and misandry (“a hatred of men”).

Source Myriam Webster

How is the comment exhibiting hatred towards women?

Maybe you meant sexist? Which is still interpretative and not objective but at least in the vicinity being somewhat understandable.

Wrong! That is a very narrow definition of the word misogyny. That word also conveys an attitude of sexism toward women. To say A WOMAN MUST BE “HOT” to pull off wearing a Daytona, is putting a different standard on her, than you would on a man, showing an obvious attitude of disrespect towards women, in general. Referring to a woman’s appearance is often used to make women feel “less than”, by males who feel superior. This blatant disrespect and obvious sexism need not rise to the level of hatred, in order to use the word misogyny correctly. You should get a better dictionary. I don’t believe it was you, who made the offensive statement, to begin with, so confused about your need to criticize my vocabulary.
