I did look at the fonts and the R seemed off as well. Thank you, it wasn’t meant to be and I’m totally ok with it.

Yes everything except the white serial tag. Serial matched too.

Informed seller on chrono messaging about the issues with pics and my intent to return the watch on Sunday. They were fully cooperative and ok’d it right away. Contacted chrono24 support on Sunday thru email and followed up with a call on Monday morning and received the FedEx mailing label around noon same day. Seller received the watch next day. Refund takes 3-5 days according to Chrono24 after sellers passes inspection and I received the full refund on Friday.

Chrono provides 14 day protection on purchases from trusted dealers. I wouldn’t have been protected if I had bought a watch from a private seller on Chrono24.

I thought about it!!! At this time I just wanted to share the update and move on. I don’t want to bring down someone’s business in case that was an honest mistake.

Honest mistake? It’s part of a dealer’s job to make sure he doesn’t sell fakes especially when you pay several times over retail…

Make it a “stupid” mistake to scam people if they intentionally did it. I’m just thankful this is over with and if there is one dealer selling fakes I’m sure there are others as well. Hopefully this topic raised some awareness when purchasing online.

I did get a call from my local AD on Wednesday for an eisenkiesel which I picked up on Thursday. Turned out a great week!

On the one hand, this really affirms Chrono24 as a marketplace since they processed a refund so quickly. On the other hand, I sure hope that Chrono24 takes appropriate action against the specific seller.
