Thanks Dan (OP) for the story and update. I think the $4K that you got from Bob's was very fair, so don't feel bad about that. It would be difficult to go back to the original seller after 20 months and reasonably expect satisfaction.

All but one of my Rolexes have been used, and I haven't had any issues. I'm careful, but maybe also I'm lucky...
