As someone who couldn’t care less about “what the grey market prices say”, it’s the BLNR on the Oyster for me by a mile. The colours are way better executed on the BLNR IMO, plus I like the fact that it was a new and unique colourway for the 6 digit. Yes the BLRO has the history as a colourway, but I think the colours need to be more like the original aluminium bezel insert.

Consequently I own a BLNR and turned down a BLRO last year.

Cool to hear everyone's stories - can't wait for that BLRO opportunity. I figure if the BLNR came my way, BLRO isn't far off.

Caveat, I have lusted over the BLNR many times after seeing them in pictures but everytime I put it on my wrist I am underwhelmed. I think it looks great on everyone else, but for whatever reason, I don't like the blue/black on me.

Similar experience. The BLNR almost looks cartoonish and juvenile. The LN GMT destroys it.

However the BLRO is King.

+1

BLRO colors have a purple and pink hue IMO.

Much prefer the blue on the BLNR.

Blro blnr

I’m in the minority. I prefer the BLNR.

I don’t like the pinkish / purplish hues of the BLRO. Of course, if I could get one at MSRP at an AD, I’d buy it in a heartbeat and wear it with pride, but I still prefer the BLNR.

I’ve owned both and to be honest I think that they are equally good. Slightly different looks but both nice. You can’t really go wrong.

Yes. I share that opinion. I got my BLRO this week and lighting aside, the bezel looks much more like red blue than purple pink. The dyes have definitely come some way over its production life. I'm impressed. But I'm biased.

Get the easiest one to find and buy a spare bezel in the other color.

BLNR or BLRO. I let my AD know I wanted the BLRO when they have one available. Want an upgrade to my older 16710

Bought both and sold the BLRO. The colors are way off. Mine looked black and burgundy. Honestly its just too many colors against the black dial.

My GMT is now 21 years old so when the kids got me my new Pepsi no contest. But I have an older BLNF that I don’t wear and most likely won’t. Spoilt with the choice of coke, all black and Pepsi on my original GMT.

BLRO all the way!!! They’re both tremendous pieces, but the BLRO just feels like so much more to me. That distinct Pepsi bezel on the jubilee bracelet still excites me after two years of ownership. You made the right choice!

BLNR way better than ceramic Pepsi

I may have to make this choice in the coming couple of months -- I have always liked the BLRO and thought it was the easy choice, but recently I find myself following every BLNR page on ig and reading every BLRO thread on here...
Imagine if the key 2022 release was the BLRO with blue and red bezel colours faithful to the vivid colours on the earlier aluminium bezels, which, after all is where the BLRO’s history, cachet and demand was made. The current series of BLRO would look muddy and drab by comparison. The BLNR easily beats today’s 6 digit BLRO. But not the 5 series. Good luck. I got rid of my BLRO. Easy decision.

That said, the BLRO in white gold with blue dial is very special. The blue dial works so well with the bezel. But that’s another story. Good luck.

I had my eyes on a BLRO for 6 months after seeing it on a fellow traveller in Phuket airport. I was offered it by an AD, held it, tried it on and then passed. 2 months later I purchased a BLNR and I don't regret it.

The BLRO is great, but there was something missing. The black dial, against the blue/ red bezel didn't capture me as much as I thought it would when trying it on in person.

I held both in my hands and went with BLRN.
BLRO looked nice on pics but it didn’t “speak” to me while I had it on my wrist. I thought it might have been the lightning, even took it outside with my SA and nothing.
BLRN was the right choice, at least for me. I didn’t care about the “Pepsi hype” and went for what I liked and do not regret it a bit!

Love both. But I prefer BLNR oyster simply because it's more versatile. I could wear almost anything and it will match my cloths. BLRO's red and blue makes it a bit more tricky.
