I’ll be there later dropping off some knives for sharpening. Will take a look.

Great pic, thx for posting.

Yes indeed, little girls will LOVE this, unless there are other Swatch cartoon-style watches your young girl likes better. Might even slide as an inexpensive timepiece gift for the wife (my wife said, "Umm, no.").

Hopefully the Swatch X Breguet release will be more gentlemanly. Maybe bring back the twice-an-hour 'tourbillon' movement?

Why are Swatch so hellbent on destroying the grails of their respective brands always boggle my mind…..

First it downgraded the Speedmaster into a plastic, quartz watch and now this…..

Well done Swatch! /s

The basic design is fine (I mean the FF is a very attractive piece) but the colours make the most lurid Seiko 5 LE look tastefully applied. And for £400, I’d much prefer to have a serviceable, metal, Seiko 5.

Based on Sea slug / Nudibranch colours! I think definitely not the most crowd pleasing colours but applaud them for their commitment to the sea (really trying to bring attention to these little creatures). I reckon the blue and white models will be the most in demand just based on colour alone.

Yeah I am sure for 400, a lot of people might be looking for other options like the PRX quartz for example which is actually cheaper. However the fact that this model is based on an iconic diver might be enough for others to buy, i mean if there was a bioceramic RO or Nautilus .. would totally fly off the shelves i would imagine

Haters are going to hate but they look great! Will bring new people into the mechanical watch industry.

I wish you could get to keep the big yellow case if you bought all 5.

I like the blue a lot. No planning to get one but I think they are pretty cool. I like the added water resistance, automatic movement, 120 click bezel, lume on the indices and bezel. These are going to sell very well.

My biggest gripe on my MoonSwatch is the poor water resistance.

I’m not interested, but they sound a lot less lame than the MoonSwatch.

Keep in mind those improvements come with an over 50% cost increase vs the MoonSwatch. I actually prefer a quartz movement in this type of watch. Less likely to fail, slimmer case, easy battery swap, and I don't have to fiddle with it.

I think they are neat. To me better than the MoonSwatch. I just don’t see me ever buying one.

Now how about a regular production 42 FF? Any day now would be cool with me.

I think I will go for gray, orange, or blue when I get a chance. I like it a lot.

I think the first month it will be a little crazy and impossible to get, but I think they will be readily available within a few weeks as the flippers quickly realize that there is an extremely small audience for this.

I love Blancpain, especially the FF, but the audience of people that know of this brand is EXTREMELY small, basically just luxury watch enthusiasts. It will obviously help promote the brand, to an extent, but I dont think too many regular Joes are going to go spend nearly $500 on a plastic Blancpain.

Omega & the Speedmaster is iconic. Even people that don't know of the Speedmaster know of Omega. It is a household name and a regular sponsor of major events like the Olympics. I don't see the exact annual production, but I think they make around only 15k watches per year, on average. That is literally nothing.

So, I really don't think too many people will be buying this watch, even if it looks very cool. But yes, I plan to buy at least one just for fun!

I am going back and forth between Orange (arctic) and Grey (Antarctic).
There are 2 swatch stores here in Seoul that will be selling them...so I plan on heading out to one early Sat and hopefully I can snag one. I think this will be a fun watch...nothing more, nothing less.
I also think that they will be much less hype around this as no one other than a true watch enthusiast really knows about Blancpain. Unlike the Omega Speedmaster, which is pretty much known by everyone. Even before I really knew anything about watches, I knew that Omega was a premium watch brand.
So this lack of brand awareness I think will keep flippers at bay and minimal aftermarket demand (or maybe this is wishful thinking!).

I think these look good, same as the Omega ones, but I can't see myself ever wearing a plastic watch. But if these get more people interested in mechanical watches then I'm all for it.

Different name, same cr*p. The Swatch Group has no self-respect. Pass me the bucket, I need to puke .

Will the movement be serviceable?

Doesn’t look like it.

It’s a mechanical movement that is sealed… $400 for a watch that can’t be worked on at all!

I hate these collabs...I mean you can get a terrific Seiko diver for the same money...I just don't get it.

That said, anything that gets watches on wrists of younger people is a win!

Why is the Arctic version in that red/orange style? Isn't that just a high-visibility color they put on life jackets and rescue rafts? That would be applicable to all rescue related materials and equipment regardless of ocean or body of water, no?

Why would the Arctic be that and the Antarctic is white?
