Agreed ^^^ Minus deliberately letting my dog chew my watch :) Do you love your dog?? I'd leave it as a reminder..

Exactly. I’d leave it. You may not want to have it buffed out, ever...

Just be thankful that your dog didn't pee on it. Leave the scratches alone. Your dog customized your watch.

Sell the dog and use the cash to have it fixed.

or - just leave it like that and keep wearing it all day long and keep playing with your dog.

easy choice.

OP here under separate cover… my old account got hacked and banned :(. I ultimately traded the watch for something else never having fixed it. My dog died a few weeks ago and now I would love to have my watch back… scratch and all. Hats off to those who said I would cherish the scratch someday!

You've not had a dog, have you?

The worst scratches on my watches have been caused by my dogs' teeth over the years. I've had way worse than that on the steel case and bracelets.

Now I’ve seen that lovely photo of your dog, I would live with it.
Sure I would be disappointed if it happened to mine, but could come to terms with it.

Naughty dog! I had a beagle too (RIP good old Daisy).

I'd get it fixed. The RSC have a special machine to refinish the bezel to like new condition.

If it bothers you, then you should get it fixed. I’m not sure I will do what I just advised though.

Funny story. Years ago my sister and brother—in-law had a parrot of some kind. He fell asleep the parrot must have been attracted to his gold Datejust and , with its beak, tore apart the crown. He got it fixed. Still has the watch. I’ll have to remind him about that .

Sorry to hear all of the above. I've lost too many pups. They just never live long enough. My rescue was four when we got him. He's 11 and he's still the new pup. Again sorry to hear.
