Well, how about something like the picture below...ha! Truth is, I don't think anyone who collects anything is ever satisfied completely and the itch will always return. Cheers!

Is that the fabled "Liberace" Daytona?

I'm about at the end game-

116506 Platona diamond dial
116660 Deepsea
16628 Full size yellow gold Yachtmaster
80299 Pearlmaster pearl diamond dial-wife

Couldn't really say I would never buy another Rolex for the rest of my life....

My favorite Rolex is the 216570, although I wouldnt mind addding a BLNR or Hulk for some color in my collection.

I look to higher end manufacturers for big ticket items. To me the exp i & no date sub are both very iconic pieces for Rolex.
this as far as rolex goes

although if i win a contest for any rolex id go for the leopard daytona

Why have an end game?

I don't consider buying a more expensive Rolex as a move forward. Platona might be the most expensive, but frankly doesn't do much for me emotionally so regardless of whether I can afford it or not, it won't be in my collection.

I like to have a BLRO... only because I like to own a *new* Pepsi someday and it only comes in WG at this time. I can't afford it yet, but I like it enough to buy it someday. (used SS ones are too overpriced in my opinion for what you get, so when considering buying a used Pepsi, I ended up going with with BLNR which I also like very much.)

I also like to own an Explorer I ... which is cheaper than either one of my current ones. Again, price is not the determining factor in what I like or want.

So as you can see, for me there will probably not be an end game. Just hopefully being able to own some of the watches that I end up liking, and that can change (I am sure will change) going forward.

I think I wouldn't mind a platinum 36mm Day-Date someday. Nothing I yearn for, though.

An uncomplicated Oyster model (3130, 3132 movement.... or even maybe future 3230?) in precious metals .... white gold preferably.
I have a 114060 and like the simplicity / symmetry of no date models.
Explorer I is next for me.

No end game here. The plan is to continue to buy and keep. Once something is not appreciated anymore then it's for sale. End up one day with a number of "special to me pieces". Most likely all Rolex because of VERY clumsy habits. Price is NOT the criteria. Mostly perfection in design, shape harmony and elegance.

I recently arrived at my end game with a DJ41 blue/fluted/Jubilee.
Then yesterday I was reminded of the existence of the DD40 ref in blue /WG.
Shade of blue is just different enough and the President is a massive "wow".
Welcome back to the game!

When the Daytona C hit the collection I kind of thought where do I go from here? I am satisfied for the time being the next step I guess is PM Rolex or a PP or getting into the vintage world. I don't know that I would get enough more pleasure though for the cost of going either of those directions.
