100000% a good move. 114060 is by far worst sub ever made IMO. Only 116xxx ceramic diver worth owning is SD4K. The 124xxx are all really well done. Congrats and enjoy! |

one of the more interesting elements of this thread are the thoughts on bracelet. some people seem to think the 5 series watches have a crappy bracelet. with 6 digit bracelets in the main being seen as a big improvement.
i wonder how many people who think the 5 series bracelet is bad have owned one and worn it? i started with a 114060 and then a 116610lv and then a 116619lb. i found these watches beautiful and functional etc. but the bracelets would wear me down. immovable objects compared to my wrist. i eventually ended up with a 16618lb and loved the "tuna can" bracelet immediately. much less able to be altered than 6 digit bracelet but "better" for me in any case. i now have a 16750 and am shooketh at how comfortable it is. thin profile, svelte bracelet with even more comfort than the 5 digit sub. ultimately larger profile height and weight create an issue that a bracelet has to address. this creates the need for a snugness and this in turn creates need for adjustability (especially for those in humid climates). imo best to keep weight and height minimal and take strain off bracelet issue. 6 digit subs go the other way and in my experience it was not ideal. it does feel solid though and that can be nice. |

I had exactly the same feeling after trying the 12xxxx at the dealer. Love at first sight. I had the 114060 for two years, never really liked how it was sitting on my wrist and moved then to the 14060M.

A straight trade that also makes you happy, go for it. As for me owning both, the M is the one to keep.

Do it, you'll be happy. One day a few years down the road you'll have a nostalgic feeling and some extra $ and you'll go out and try to find a high condition 14060M. Good luck with that.

I have since moved back to 5-digits as my favorites to wear daily. I like to wear my watches very tight, and while the glidelock makes that easy to do, I found the lightness and flexibility of the 5-digit bracelets preferable. The hollow links have a slight give to them, that allows for a lot of comfort when wearing for long periods of time. |

I sold my 14060m when I got my 126710. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
