There's no way you can ride it into October at 22k... So now literally EVERYONE is waiting for a new drop in prices which is coming in small increments and after the market has already moved... Again...

Good luck catching up

Olive WG DD unworn for 44.5k and sitting. That is the same as out the door price in some states. True price here is below retail + tax. So much much for “investment pieces”

There’s a preowned, a couple links short at 43k. Same person had it listed for 80k in February!

Hey Dmash - saw the ads today and the slightly used 26420 with the small nick made an appearance again as a new listing, this time at 35k (from 36k a month ago)...

Not far off from your 30k level... Keep waiting myself!

Just interested in the business side of things these days.

This watch was first for sale at 45k in June. Then 42k in July and now all the way down to 35k and no takers for a month in Nov... How much under MSRP is this acquired to make sense?

Same thing with a lot of other ones like a diamond white ladies ROC initially at 21.5k in July and now 17.5k and no takers... That's 20% off asking and still not moving

Do most of these newer Rolexes (less than 3 years old) get opened by the gray dealer when they take them in?

I saw this watch…I first thought it was the rose gold version. The picture was playing tricks with my eyes.

Just checking in to this thread. I haven't read the last 10-20 pages or so.

Are there still people that think this is a seasonal summer slump? lol.

I came across this guy on YouTube, (his videos are a bit boring) , but he provides weekly updates on the watch market and I find his price updates very accurate and reflecting the latest trends.

I’ve watched a few of this guy’s videos. Yeah, a bit boring, but he has some good insight. The background music drives me crazy though, LOL.

I would think condition would matter... unworn, new 2022.. vs worn and loved 2018?

You're going to run a large gamut..

2022 pre-owned good condition sold. Last known asking price is $19k before sold. So probably deal price is between 18k to 19k.

Not a bad "analysis" but surely this could have been said in 60s rather than spending 10min on a drawn out story... Thank you captain obvious. Seems to have just learned "cojones" and is now very proud of his foreign language skills

It's a buyers market now. The Grey's are desperate. Don't be fooled by the asking prices.

The fact is, it's as good as it's going to get now, and yes, low ball them.. I even got Watchbox to negotiate thousands off a potential purchase of a formerly hyped piece..

I expect we'll be treading bottom on these watch prices for a bit, with some minor dips and climbs.. but no spike in either direction anytime soon..

if by early '23 Fed pivots and equity market heats up... we see mild growth in watch demand, if we have negative economic news into late '23, then more down pressure... it's not that complicated at this point.
