The subscription for the Rattrapante started about 25 mins ago and 74 / 77 pieces sold.

A large amount will definitely go to the retailers who committed to the piece earlier on, but very impressive for the brand

Love the Rattrapante! Just got word that my Passage de Drake is ready and will ship soon. It's been a long time since I've had an incoming, very excited

Czapek Abyss

Pictures online don't do justice to how beautiful the hand-varnished dials are. Simply stunning in sunlight!

That looks amazing. Could have done without the red tipped seconds hand but other than that, simply stunning.

Wow, that’s a stunning colour! Is it a new limited edition or will it be available?

Happy Czapek Birthday to me. I have had this watch on order for a long time and when the guys at Czapek found out my birthday was coming on 9/11, they went the extra mile to have this ready for me on my birthday.
Who does that? I guess Czapek does.
A special thank you Xavier and the crew and also to Bob Margolis USA Rep. [/IMG]

Regular production. but i hear release is postponed to 2022 due to company struggling to keep up with demand. Just a prototype for now.

Yes I think they are continuing to do well. Mine has theoretically shipped out, and was delayed because they ran out of presentation boxes of all things.

Mine is being serviced and getting some movement upgrades with a delay due to manufacturing delays on some of those parts. I suspect doing business is anything but usual right now. I’m glad your box wasn’t too long of a delay

When setting the time, the second hand was somewhat tied to the minute hand so I couldn’t set the time accurately.
Since it’s there, I’m also having the bracelet fully brushed.

Yeah I'm not going to sweat it, communication has been transparent throughout the whole process. I ordered mine right when they went live after announcing the Passage de Drake with a requested delivery at the end of June 2021. But we were moving around that time, and I asked for a delay until we were all settled. I'm glad they are busy and managing to navigate through difficult circumstances with the pandemic while continuing to innovate.

Look at this beauty. Czapek Antarctique Rattrapante for only watch. Estimate CHF60-90k. I say it hammers above 300k.

They might come out with a non-limited version like they did with the Antarctique Terre Adelie (99 pieces limited edition) vs the Passage de drake (non-limited but limited production).

Just my opinion ofcourse. I could be completely wrong.

Yep, 77 pieces sold out in less than 1hr which makes me think there is strong demand there. Hence my 300k prediction.

My prediction is well over 300k, would be very surprised if it sells below a half million.

these predictions make the green 5711 seem like a bargain in my eyes.

We're talking about a one-off watch sold for charity with an excellent movement, not a serially produced watch all machine finished and with a time-only+date movement.

Tl;dr : apples and oranges.
