Out of the 2, 34 suits you better. But, again, 36mm would be ideal!

Yeah, having been through the gauntlet of bigger, sportier models a bit, there's just something about a compact watch with a smooth bezel and Oyster bracelet. They feel like solid little rocks, while actually being comfortable and lightweight.

I say 34mm

I have a 36mm DJ and having a watch that is smaller and doesn't always remind you that it's on your wrist is nice at times.
Sometimes I want to wear a watch that I can forget about, instead of something that always seems to be a beacon on my wrist.

Nice review! Did you take the Easylink from another one of your watches or were you able to find one for sale?

Also, is that a Gretsch kit at the end?

Not really, just wrists shots that are relatively close.

From the pics, the 34mm looks like the best choice. It does wear like an older 36mm.

I’ve got pretty small wrists.

Just picked up the new black dial OP in 34mm and very happy with it. More than big enough for me!

Congrats. Looks great on you! Black dial is my second favorite. Yours is the first of the new 34s I've seen purchased on and the wrist. Did you have any difficulty locating it?

Thanks.

Once I saw the new dials revealed in March I called my AD to express interest.

Was told the black and white dials were due in May and they would get one in for me.

Sure enough got the call a week or so ago and that was that!

Wow. As a long known 6-digit hater, I really think Rolex hit it out of the park with that watch. It’s the best looking Rolex made today, IMO.

If you think 38-39mm should be the minimum for a male on a bracelet, you’re living in 2009. More traditional sizes have been making a big comeback over the past few years.
I have slim wrists and a 40 BLNR but nothing fits as well or is as comfortable as my 37mm Rhodium YM. it’s a stunner.

These ‘size’ discussions always seem to devolve into a manic defense of and justification of an opinion that someone thinks the ‘rules’ prevent people from wearing watches they want and that fit them well. Ike and Tony soprano rocked 34mm watches *on bracelets*. Yeah, hemlines go up and hemlines go down. The trend of dinner-plate watches is thankfully (to me) waning.

All that said, no one save WIS notices or cares about the size of a watch.

That doesn't work in most countries.

I'm a size 43.

The 34 looks great...dont let the "lady size" nonsense talk you out of it. That white 34 OP is calling my name. I love my 214270, and its a great size, but i know it's there. No doubt a classic OP in 34 would melt into the wrist.

34 = women's watch 100%.

At the end of the day, buy the one you like... But if it's the 34 you need to be fine with the fact that most people will think you are wearing a women's watch, or are stuck in a bygone decade.

I have the OP39, and I'm in love with it...
Even if I own a stunning Sub and a GMT 16760 from 1985 (birth date), my everyday watch is my OP39 I have bought last November.
Beautiful.

I think 36mm can be nice, but 34mm is too small (everyone has his own feeling on that)
39mm is the perfect match for a man's wrist ! No too big, not too small, perfect !
And the guy from Bucherer Geneva (where I'm living) who selled me this watch has the same, but in blue...I'd prefer this Dark Rhodium Grey dial which is the perfect fit for me. The new Black dial is very nice too !

Most people won't even notice that I'm wearing a 34mm watch. Those who do will probably say : "hey, that's a nice watch you've got there ".

I like the green in the 34.
I'm thinking of getting a white one, in 39mm.

I don't have big wrists but I think the 39 fits great.
