Above is the work Michael did for me. My father gifted this watch to me with an aftermarket bracelet. He purchased the watch in the mid 70's and discarded the original bracelet years ago but I was able to find a genuine replacement in less than perfect condition that I was hoping to save at least the clasp and end pieces. Michael initially said he would not be able to do anything to save it but later said he would take it on as a project. Although it took about six months, I was extremely pleased.

there are not many people who will actually tell you exactly how they do what they do for a living ,,, let alone show the pictures of the machine built to do the custom work.
interesting read.
and great work too, im buying a piece of your work as we speak , if all goes well.
many thanks for the pictures and the description ,,, just out of curiosity do you use steel sleeves in gold bracelets to help them resist wear in the future, or is it gold to go back to how it would be in a solid gold link.
im sure a lot of interesting pics will follow.

I sent an email last week politely requesting a quick update on my bracelet but haven't heard back yet

Last communication was early December...

Sometimes it took me a while to get a response. I'm not sure if they observe the Chinese New Year, but if they do, don't hold your breath for a response until end of Feb, beginning March.
I used his hotmail account and did get a response after a week or so. He does phenomenol work but it takes a long time. My bracelet (which was exceptionally jacked-up) took about 5-6 months.

Old oyster band

Hi Michael,
I have recently sent you an email about this band maybe you didn't receive it.
Would you please be able to refurbish the band on this watch if at all possible (please see attached photo). It's in quite poor shape and I would really love you to do it for me.
If you could take this on what do I need to do next to get the band to you in Hong Kong ?
Address to send to etc.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Many thanks and kind regards Sean.Attachment 461761

I've sent an email to them weeks ago regarding my bracelet, and still waiting for a reply....
Looks like I'm not the only one. I don't mind waiting a few months for the work to be done as I understand there must be a significant backlog of work, but as a business they should at least respond to emails.

I sent two 93150's. The lunar new year messed up the courier for a few days, however MY turned them around in just 18 days from reciept to notification to pay. They were shipped two days ago and should be here today according to the fedex tracker.
On the communication side i have nothing but positives to report, every question answered promptly, confirmation of receipt etc

Stunning! Mr. Young has a singular talent. Hi Michael, if you're reading this, how's my TT riveted thing going? Thanks so much! By the way, I've recommended you to a ton of people.

Hi all ... I thought there was a sticky thread about Michael young. Can anyone flip me some info on the whys and wherefores of sending a bracelet to MY for repair? I've noticed that this thread is a few months stake and the website I had for MY - classic watch parts seems to be defunct.

Interesting
So I assume one must ship their bracelets to Hong Kong, is there anywhere domestic in the US that does this type of work. Finally...how much does it cost to tighten up a typical 10 link 93150
Great pics by the way.

Anyone have an opinion as to the shipping insurance value of a SS sub bracelet?
