I know I’ve posted it a time or two before. I just really admire that this guy brings this out regularly and you can catch it around town fairly regularly. Wet rainy day here yet he’s still out in the Pagani. I would wager it’s one of the higher mileage Paganis around.

He has quite the collection as well, so I guess it may be a bit less wild than the rest of us perceive it to be.

I was at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking yesterday and … wow… touched the wheel of Senna’s number 27 1990 McLaren F1 win.

As a Brazilian, I can’t say that I didn’t shed a discreet tear, and a little pain in my heart.

I will never forget that day, May 1, 1994. I was watching the race with my brother live realizing our legendary hero just died. Man, we cried.

I hear you. The whole of Brazil stopped, shocked, and we all cried. A lot.

It was an awful day, week, month for all of us. Still hurts.

Since i was a child, I have been wanting 911 Turbo S and, after a few decades, I have fulfilled my dream this weekend. Yes, I'm camera shy.

While we were at Cremona in Italy for my sons kart race, this was over on the car track. Sounded absolutely amazing and guy could actually thrash it some. Was fun to watch.

Question for the car aficionados here:

Anyone have experience with the McLaren/Merc SLR? Thinking of buying one as I think their under appreciated, but also its fun as shit to drive for a car of its vintage. Any feedback would be appreciated.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7fz-ZPWM24

Also, have an outgoing and incoming later in the week/next week once the ppf and other stuff gets completed.

I was so shook from that. I was in high school. It still hurts after so many years.

Half of my friends and family used to rail on me for loving Senna, as they are all French, and the other half (American) could not care less about Formula 1 at that time. My longtime friends still
tease me about this as I am a big Lewis Hamilton fan. (Some think I may be difficult by design lol)

Ok, back on topic. I’ve had my F90 M5 for a few months now. I love it. Ended up putting ppf on it. love the look, but I have a couple friends who thought it was criminal to do that to Marina Bay Blue. Akrapovic full exhaust, KW HAS, and a few other mods. (I can’t help myself, I grew up in the 90s and Japanese imports etc)

I’m impressed with this car. It can do almost anything asked of it. Put around town quietly and relatively comfortably with the upgraded suspension, but is surprisingly nimble at speed for a heavy car. The road feel is nice. I haven’t had that sort of connection with the asphalt since my 997. The seats are quite comfortable too.

I can’t wait to take this to Streets of Willow and Buttonwillow.

Anyways, this thread may be the best one on TRF.

If you are going McLaren, go 675LT, no better car under $250k. Great car on and off the track as close as you can get to a P1 and long term should be a good investment.

Oh boy can't wait for the reveal! I do not have any feedback on the SLR. I had the SLS for a few years, but totally different car. I don't think you can go wrong. There is a guy Manny Kobashin I think is his name who has a number of them as he collects them and he adores them.

I never owned one, but was fortunate to have a few laps of Goodwood in an SLR, at a Mercedes-Benz-Maybach-AMG and IWC sponsored 'jolly'.
My 'passenger' was the wonderful racing driver, the late 'Whizzo' Williams.
I'm happy to report, that at the end of half a dozen laps, dear Barrie said, "bloody hell Steve, you frightened the shhh***tt, out of me there!"

Fabulous, fabulous car. They're all LHD of course. The sound of the engine on overrun is spine tingling, but the power !!!

I'll never forget the sting in the nostrils of the smoke from the 'pads...and Barrie, shouting, "Brake, Steve....BRAKE!!", at the end of the Lavant Straight, will live with me forever.

Iconic, gorgeous car.
Clarkson did a nice, 'long run' review (Heathrow to Oslo ) on Top Gear.
