The SS and full YG always had as far as I know. The clasp was never updated on the YG though. It's the TT that had hollow centre links until the clasp was updated.

Can somebody please chime in with a direct answer?
I doubt rolex was going solid gold for the full watch back in 1992 (including full links) Thanks! |

I don’t know your answer but that model along with earlier 16622 (‘99 - ‘05/6?) with the plat blasted dial and bezel is amazing, even the 116622 now are beautiful. Rolex YG Gold is something else. Some guy about 5ft 3inch had on the YG Yacht-Mater II at WSOP, it was massive on his wrist but look pretty sweet, but ridiculously huge for him

Seems no one actually answered directly. And Onikage "doubts" Rolex made solid gold links in 1992? Ha! Ha! Ha! Well, I confirmed last Monday that ALL ref. 16628 bracelet links are ALL solid 18K gold and have always been from the start. And the white mother of pearl dials (either 11 rubies or 3 sapphires + 8 diamonds) are made of solid 18K gold. Rolex dials are usually made of brass but Rolex gem set dials have always been made of solid 18K gold. Also, just to clarify, the ref. 16622 platinum has a SOLID 950 platinum dial. Not dusted, blasted, or coated. It is a solid disc of 950 platinum; the only one of it's kind (except for the piece unique ref. 16620PT.) The rhodium dial ref. 116622 is brass. Anyway, coupled with that solid 950 platinum bezel, too? Man...just a bad-ass piece!!
