my dad gave me an old seiko watch is it worth repairing?

it works but the glass is scratched, and the band is gone.

and its an older model, he said he bought it awhile ago....my mom said she bought it in japan in the 70's for him, and he passed it down to me

anyways it says seiko 17 jewels on the face. and it is one of those "kinetic" watches.

ill post a pic. ive searched around and i saw that the watches to have are the seiko 5 .....i don't think this is one so is this one even worth my time?

i really don't know anything about watches im just a 19 year old kid who hot rods cars LOL
