Yes, the first one is a swiss 2836 i believe and the 2nd is a Asian 3135 clone. The clone is not a reliable movement

Trust me I had one of these "clones" and they are NOT all that. The movement crapped out like a week after I got it but it made me want the real deal so i got it

Even real ETA movements have parts made in China.

A watch movement is considered Swiss if; the movement has been assembled in Switzerland, the movement has been inspected by the manufacturer in Switzerland and the components of Swiss manufacture account for at least 50 percent of the total value, without taking into account the cost of assembly.

Notice that just component "value" not percent must be Swiss. China can manufacture a part at a fraction of a Swiss company.

I never said there was, but there is joy in a watch and whether it be a couterfeit that i destroy at work or a nice Genuine Day-Date I wear out on the town, they are both watches and I will wear them regardless.

Thats not a copy of a swiss eta. That looks like japan movement

Looks like a pretty normal 2836-2 (day & date) or other 28xx movement to me. Has the newer Novodiac Incabloc spring, and standard ETA layout.
The 2nd looks like either a modified ETA (e.g. The balance 'bridge' & lack of regulator) or a knock off of an ETA.
