We were all going to let it go but you just made it 3 pages. Now this is serious

We are here at a watch forum contributing to nothingness if you ask 99% of the world’s population anyway…

finally, someone said exactly what I wanted to say. Journe is a watch maker making watches for us. I am anti woke, anti snowflake, and do not care if Journe is an ass or not. Why, because he is not my son in law. I don't care if he likes to mate with animal closed door. I am not here to judge his moral character. That is the job of his parents, lover(s), families and close friends. For those who are on high moral grounds or horses, feel free to punish him by not buying his watches. I would love to see that so that I can have more allocations. Hehhe.

I can't wait for the next Reddit thread to claim this is what happened at that dinner, and then a few more TRF threads confirming this as fact

Lot of nonsense, just amplifying a rumour.
I met FP in Paris in the boutique, he seemed absolutely charming.
The moment he sees you a watch enthusiast, he could talk hours with you.
Yes he prefer talking in French rather than English so what?
Ultimately he makes beautiful watches, that’s the most relevant.

Just my personal opinion / taste, he has a unique style that definitely makes his watches recognizable as to me they more or less all look the same dial wise albeit with a twist, but I happen to not like this style at all...

If I learn my watchmaker molests border collies I'm finding a new watchmaker. To each his own, I prefer Lange anyway

It’s not just border collies unfortunately. There’s talk of horses too.

Interesting, there's a heck of a lot of FPJ for sale online. Some have far more inventory than I've seen previously. How many watches does FPJ claim to make a year?

From my visits to the boutique that was what I was quoted a few years ago, but they don't include elegante in that number

I’ll save you the click.

Quick Breakdown:

- half the video is him shitting on RM.

- mentioned Journe’s personality bothering some people but not him personally

- he referenced that alleged incident at the collectors dinner. You know the one that every YouTuber has talked about but none were actually there?

- hinted at some shady practices at the sales and executive level (not Journe himself). Such as giving money under the table to get a watch faster and paying a full deposit but being made to wait years.

- Journe supposedly blacklisting people who sell their watches

- says the brand needs to be more friendly and less snobby or they might lost customers

- prices have come down significantly

- you can get pieces faster than you used to

Federico is a dealer but he started off his video on FP Journe by saying Journe watches are artisanal and handmade

I can tell you my opinion if you’re seeing more dealers with FPJ in stock it’s because post covid a lot of dealers observed that the market for Journe was much more stable than a lot of the stuff they were stocking from 2018-2022 (Patek,AP,RM) so they are more comfortable taking it in on trade. Classic flight to safety. There’s a higher floor with FPJ and the collector base is more dedicated than the people who were buying hype Patek/AP/RM.

Waiting on my second piece, Chronometre Optimum… the pace of waiting for this watch is measured in years. Not in woke canceled dinners.

For what it's worth, I found the NYC boutique for FPJ to be very straightforward and honest relative to other brands. Not snobbish at all.

Same with their dealers in Canada.

This was pre & post COVID.

None of these gossipers on social media has a clue of what he said exactly, it is most likely overblown as most things are on the internet.
