Taken off the AD map….

The 2 smaller town ADs that I’ve used have been taken off the Rolex map…wonder what that’s all about??

Smaller market ADs don’t seem to be part of RolexUSA’s future plans. Dealers in Huntsville, Nacogdoches, and Tyler have all closed in the last few years, am I missing any?
I had a small connection to Susan Robinson Jewelers in Tyler some years ago. The owners retired last year and then much to my surprise someone bought the name and the store and reopened. The new owners did not get the Rolex franchise.

Local Ben Bridge store

Same with my local Ben Bridge story near Los Angeles, said expect to be open for only 2 more months. Had a number of watches, all marked exhibition only. However they said they would sell me the $42k white gold submariner at no discount — I passed on that for a number reasons.

I asked why only that watch for sale since they are closing down the Rolex section, why not sell the rest. The answer: Rolex won’t allow us.

Quite odd, no — still won’t sell full inventory even as Rolex pulling out?

Expect more AD status revocations.

There are still too many Rolex AD in the USA.

Consolidation focusing on chains that can provide premier merchandising space are the way forward

Yep. 279 exactly in the US and 1446 worldwide as of today.

Have you tried calling the AD and asking?

Or visit the ADs website. Does the website still show Rolex?

Must be an issue with the website perhaps? All of my local ADs, including a Bucherer is not showing on the map either.

The pin markers are indeed missing from the map, but if you search by the list the ADs will show. Must be a technical issue they’re addressing.

Yup, can confirm this as well. Typing in your AD will bring it up. Surely a technical issue.

The most grim thing is that they will get ADs to basically build a full Rolex boutique shop next to the rest of the AD, and then drop them.

It seems like you may not have been following any news lately. Rolex is closing down branches faster than Kmart did.

Oddly, not every AD is showing up on the map, but they're still on the list of ADs. I've sent my AD a text to ask what's up.

That’s too many doors for a luxury product

A single-location-AD I had shopped with in a mid-size city recently lost their status. Had been with the brand since the 70s and done a new build in the last decade or so. Dropping like flies it seems.

Looks like Rolex agrees with you. Just 2 years ago, the number of Rolex dealers was a little over 1800 worldwide!

I just noticed that Murphy Jewelers Pottsville, PA location is now gone from the Rolex map.

My AD in Montana isn't currently showing on the map either. Their name still appears on the right hand side bar when you zoom into Montana on that same map.

This is exactly what's happening for me with my AD and most of the ones in neighboring areas/states.

If they produce 1 million pieces per year that's 691 watches per AD, per year, world wide. 192,789 to the United States.

There is clear indication that not every AD gets the same number of allocations each year, but food for thought on what the availability at your AD might be.

My AD who isn't showing up on the map, but on the AD list, has just confirmed to me that they are still an AD and that I "have nothing to worry about."

Sounds like a website glitch.

You can add Tara Fine Jewelry in Atlanta area and Ware Jewelers in Auburn, Alabama 2-3 years ago.

Maybe this is another reason to not try and build a relationship with an AD you could wait around forever waiting for a watch for this to happen

Hong Kong had 67 ADs last time I checked the Rolex site, a few years ago. Now it's only showing 32.
