Incoming Chronomat GMT in Blue

It was a long time coming to get this. 2 years ago I picked this out, waited and waited. Finally I saw it in a dealer and then knew I had to have it. SO I ordered it 8 weeks ago. It arrived today!

Sorry for the crappy lume shot I was free handing it.

WOW....THAT is a Watch. Dayam..Love the detail on the second hand..is that a "B"?..Yeah I think I will be looking at Brietling.....Any Brietling forums? LOL Seeing I may be able to pick up a Colt for $2500 then I see that beauty....ugh,

I wear my watches showering swimming sleeping etc so I am not sure a leather band would work for me. But that is nice.

LOL, there is a substantial difference in price between that Chronomat and the Colt. The chronomat uses an Inhouse movement. For reference, The colt 2 Chrono cost 3900 retail new. Getting it on Grey market usually saves a good chunk. The chronomat retails at 8600. So if funds are tight the Colt is a great option.

Also, the chronomat has a 5 year warranty as doeas any Brietling with the inhouse movement. The colt when bought from an AD only has a 2 year.. Grey market gets you no warrenty.

Brietling forums are are Brietlingsource.com and Watchuseek.com has a sub format like here but many more visits.

Oh and thank you for the kind words regarding my Chronomat.

Congrats, that looks great. I love the blue strap and the shade of blue on the dial is fantastic. There are few Breitlings I would REALLY like, but this one is definitely on the list

Is it the model, the color combo or the photos that compliment it?

For me everything. The blue leather band and the presentation. Nicer than any Rolex I have ever seen. Just stunning. I am looking to buy a nice watch mostly to leave to my nephew who is my only heir. I want something more than just money he can appreciate as a memory. I even like the Colt Chrono series although it is a giant step back from the automatics. I was at a jewelry store today and looking at the Breitlings they had the $3900 Colt stuck out (although I don't need the chrono application). They did not have what you are wearing.

That is a watch I love looking at but probably would not have one in my stable. Hard to wrap my head around $9K+ for a watch...Still working on that.

For the record I bought it from an AD for less than retail. That combination of band and dial I ordered. With a braclett that watch sells for more than with a leather or croc band. You can save but it will still be in the 7k range.

That's a fine looking watch and that's coming from an Omega fan. Omega just doesn't make a decent looking GMT of which I am aware.

Omegas Seamaster Aqua Terra in two tone and in blue are wonderful looking piece in my opinion.

Been looking for one of those since I saw yours, I want the polish SS bracelet. I found one at Costco for $5499 with the black dial. Am waiting to hear back if they cover it under the "lifetime satisfaction guarantee" since there is no manufacturer support.

That watch is stunning. I have not seen a better looking watch. Makes the Submariner look like a Timex. I may have to hold out for the blue dial. Not much of a choice with Costco. But their return policy is amazing and I have tested numerous times.
