Changed My Panda Dial for Black Dial Today.....

....after a lot of deliberation, I decided to revert my Daytona back to SS specifications and had the dial swapped from the Panda dial to a new Black Dial. I also removed the Thomas Preik Sapphire Case and had the correct Caseback on so it's now back as Rolex intended.

I'm going to sell the panda dial with red hands and the Thomas Preik Caseback at some point.image.jpg

I've kept the original white dial so I can swap them every couple of years or so for variation.

well no question your modded watch looked very cool but personally for SS I like the way you have it now. every bit as nice and OEM, good decision!

It's, always, great to have options

As for me i'm so in love with the panda dial that i don't see any possibilities in the near or far future to change it.

And even if i change it to black, this will be my option

(not my pics)

Thanks Tom, yeah the whole 'frankenwatch' thing never quite sat well with me though I love the panda dial, might have to splash out on a white gold 116509 Panda!

Know what you mean...had a WG black arabic dial on a SS once...never got used to it.

Two thumbs up for the WG panda, go for it!

I thought it looked great but have done something similar with one of mine switching back to the OEM strap rather than a custom made one.

I like the panda dial a lot. If I could source a dial at a reasonable price I would have done so already

Nice! Love the way it is stock. Not a fan of the clear case backs
