Finally a platinum-plated 149!

I'm sure several of y'all already know this but there's finally a 149 with platinum-plating! I never thought Montblanc would actually do this! Now if they can just do a diamond star version.

Diamond star version. From my knowledge almost all montblanc are platinum plated details (click on read more and you can see it) unless it is the blackened detail version.

The Meisterstück Montblanc Diamond celebrates the uniqueness of the Montblanc Diamond with refined and sophisticated elegance. Deep black precious resin and elegant platinum-plated details are surmounted by the 43-faceted diamond in the shape of the famous Montblanc emblem. Show Less

Yes, but they only do diamond star on the Hommage À W.A. Mozart, Classique, and Le Grand sizes, not the 149. And the 149 was only offered in 18k yellow gold plating or rose gold plating for the 90th anniversary before now.

Forgive me but I feel the 149 should be gold. I had an issue with the rose gold on the 149. I have my platinum 146 and it suits perfectly. I feel it would look out of proportion

I like the platinum 146 Le Grand but my only problem with it is the 14k nib. I'd much rather have an 18k nib and the 149 is the only non-special model to have that.

Actually on close inspection to their website it looks like the rose gold 149 is no longer a 90th Anniversary edition, so I guess it's here to stay along with the Platinum

By OBBB nib on my 149 is amazing.
I've got the 18KYG and the 18KRG....I think that's enough 149's for the moment.

However, I'd like to the see the platinum 149 in the flesh...I might be tempted.
