RGM 455 Chrono Review
Hey Guys:
Bought this watch a couple of weeks ago and have had a chance to put it through it's paces.... It is an RGM 455 Chronograph; it came with an upscale blue leather strap. It was assembled in their Pennsylvania workshop! The movement is a modified ETA 7750 and has 2 sub-dials at 6 and 12 o'clock. The pushers are crisp and the second hand returns perfectly to 12 when re-set. The dial is silver and the sub-dials have a nice change in reflection at different angles. The hands are blued-steel and show well over the over-lapped printed numbers and scales. The case is nicely done in polished stainless steel with lugs that use threaded screws rather than spring bars. The case is a monster 14 mm thick and but only about 38 mm in diameter. It sits well on the wrist and the contrast makes it easy to read. The case back is laser engraved with lots of details. I have switched to an old Rolex SS Jublilee bracelet because it is more comfortable overall. I wish that a matching SS bracelet was an option as well as a sapphire case back. I like this watch very much and it is firmly in my weekly rotation. If you want a new chrono that looks 1940's vintage, then I think this watch is a great choice. That's a really cool-looking watch. I appreciate a nice watch company based out of PA!
